http://www.marketwatch.com/story/steelseries-announces-guild-wars-2r-peripherals-line-up-2012-06-04 Anyone? [editline]4th June 2012[/editline] Pictures here: http://steelseries.com/products/games/guild-wars-2
Ugh, ofcourse, GW2 comes up with that kinda stuff 2 weeks after I get new headphones (after like 2 months of having none)... Why do you do this to my wallet, GW2? Why.

There is a large update to the Guild Wars 2 client. That or my updater is glitching out. It has roughly 84,000 files to download.
I wonder what kind of patch it is.
I wonder what kind of patch it is.
An eyepatch, because we will be fighting pirates.
Party movement into overflow servers, chat functionality, key bindings, server stability, performance and more they'll go into detail

So, i'm buying this for a friend who lives in Denmark (I live in U.S.). Anyone know if you're able to gift the game? And also if you're able to play cross-continental?
IDK, and yes, you should be.
i bought two copies and forwarded one of the e-mails to my brother, im sure there's an easier way though
i'm feeling a bit iffy on the new skill tiers i dont think would have minded much if this was my first bwe but i'm not going to like spending points in shit i wont use
i'm feeling a bit iffy on the new skill tiers i dont think would have minded much if this was my first bwe but i'm not going to like spending points in shit i wont use
My view is that I'd probably buy all those skills eventually anyway, because I'll probably do all the skill point challenges. But I agree, it will be annoying to not be able to get the ones you actually want.
stupid idea imo, if people want to experiment then let them but don't force it on us and make us waste skill points on stuff we don't even want, just for the sake of getting ones we do.
You can still test all skills in PvP.
the other problem i have is that they explicitly state tiers "increase in power" i saw the skills as interchangeable depending on how you want to play, and that's what i liked about the skill system. i can't imagine this system staying for long, it's going to get a major backlash from people who are already used to what we had in the first bwe [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] well okay i guess i can see another point that it better facilitates balance. that i'm okay with

It also proves that they are most likely going to hold the others races and zones for release.
well okay i guess i can see another point that it better facilitates balance. that i'm okay with
wow okay i take this back. this new system means a higher level will have an even greater advantage on someone lower than them, when previously the only major power difference was getting to level 30 and unlocking elite skills. it negatively effects balance
Remember the key word here Beta If they want to try another system then now is the time to do it.
Remember the key word here Beta If they want to try another system then now is the time to do it.
i'm just concerned that they'll stick with it
i'm just concerned that they'll stick with it
If people don't like it they'll change it. It happened with the energy system too. [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] Still hoping they'll make the UI modifiable like in GW1. I'm sure that we'll see Texmod remade if not.
Don't know if someone already mentioned, but I must ask: How is the endgame going to be? This will decide if I stop playing WoW or not. Sorry for not reading everything, I am a little short on time.
The skill tiers just seem like another unneccesary barrier for players to get through. Beyond elite skills, how exactly is one skill tiered above another? There were no tier barriers on the skills in GW1 and that worked just fine. I don't see any use for this beyond making it look prettier in the UI.

I will be playing on the free weekend beta, what are the things I should know before playing? Don't know if there are a lot of servers, but it would be nice to find some people to play together.
