Sounded like he was gonna cry half the time.
I stopped it at 43 seconds, everything else sounded like it'd be redundant
"GW2 is for somone who allready likes mmo's"
"it's an mmo with better features"
Yep, everything past that is pretty fucking reduntant, if he doesn't like it, he's not a fan of mmo's
I don't really agree with his all dynamic events should feel game changing, it would get pretty old if every event was the world relies on you without it everything is doomed.
Anyone want to take a guess on the release date?
http://kotaku.com/5910509/guild-wars-2-retail-ad-shows-june-28-release-date
What do you think of that?
"On the other hand, this poster is a little more concrete than your average game retailer's database. It's a printed, physical object."
lmao it's a black and white 18x24" or 24x36" blown-up print on crap paper that anybody could have done for ten bucks at an office max
TOTALLY CONCRETE EVIDENCE GUYS
the least they could have done was paid an extra five bucks to laminate it and make it look more like some official print
kotaku's reporters are either getting desperate or dumber.
New blog post.

Looks like we have more than one more BWE.
To be honest, I'd much rather go on their forums and write a thread about things I think need fixing than to try and convey my opinion through a simplified and confusing grading system.

They do both.

It's not confusing. It's actually pretty darn easy. Can you point out what is so confusing about it?
It's the most important part in a testing process, collecting quantitative data like this.
I heard a rumor that Transmutation stones aren't available through karma vendors anymore, can anyone verify this?
That sounds pretty scary, it would mean you must use gems for them?
I for one would not appreciate that kind of change, not at all.

5 transmutation stones are about 125 gems, which you can get in under 30 minutes of playing.

Yeah, with beta prices.
The prices of gems (in gold) in the beta was extremely low. There was an extreme amount of supply (2500 per account), and very low demand. The only people who needed to buy them, really, were people without credit cards, and people who bought so many things that they ran out of gems.
I wouldn't be surprised if the price of gems (in gold) after a few months was 20 times what it was in beta.
But, like I said, it was a rumor, not a fact. They already went from store only to store+karma, I don't see why they would go back. Rumor was because they hired some guy who worked at Nexon, and worked on Maplestory, to help with the cash shop.

You can get some Gem Store Items via 100% map completion for each zone (including the Transmutation Stones), as well as unlocking a Mystic Chest where you can get keys as drops or rewards. Not to mention that you can transfer gold to gems without paying IRL money.
People need to stop bitching about Gems.
I think I got transmutation stones for finishing catacombs, so you can still get them just by playing.
The rumor didn't state whether this change happened before or after the last BWE. It could just be a false rumor, and I feel like it is.
I'm getting tired of the buying price of games being more of an initial down payment than a total package. Now, I don't know how the RL money store is going to effect the game, but I would hope that it wouldn't even be apparent that it exists through normal play.

The developers have said, and proven, that the RL money store will be for cosmetic purposes only. In addition, anything that can be bought at the RL money store can be purchased with in game currency.
You will not notice that the game has a cash shop while playing unless you want to go buy a pirate costume, or similiar.
having a cash shop is probably most of the reason the game won't have monthly charges, don't complain about it if necessary items can be bought/earned with game currency
having a cash shop is probably most of the reason the game won't have monthly charges, don't complain about it if necessary items can be bought/earned with game currency
They are the one's with the business model and they are selling the game as a complete game. If hours upon hours of super boring grinding and farming is necessary to do what real money will buy me instantly than it's obvious that the average player is expected to spend money for store items.
I'm just hoping for what I was told when I bought the game... and I'm not even saying there will be a problem, just that I'm worried.

Na, It say that the cash shop is just there to augment their funds and everyone's experience. With GW1 they made expansions so that they have to make a good product to get payed. The cash shop is more to handle the smaller extraneous costs.
running servers isn't cheap though, that's usually just cause for charging monthly with most mmo, no?
running servers isn't cheap though, that's usually just cause for charging monthly with most mmo, no?
Contrary to popular belief it's not that expensive. Even so, server upkeep costs can count in the extraneous costs.
running servers isn't cheap though, that's usually just cause for charging monthly with most mmo, no?
You'd be suprised, server costs arn't even close to justifying your £9 sub. If anything, that's now marketed as a "Oh hey, well you're paying £9 a month so you get content patches, for free!"

You obviously haven't played Guild Wars 2.
You obviously haven't played Guild Wars 2.
I played the 2nd BWE, but only got up to level 20 something. Grinding and what not usually doesn't happen until higher levels when it takes a lot more xp to level up.

I believe they said there was no steep leveling curve, so that means that it will take the same time to go from level 79 to 80 as from 21 to 22, hypothetically anyway.

It's horrible being given very short periods to play it, leaving you wanting to play more :v:

It's like you know nothing about the game.

Yes! I'm back from our bro-trip that day!
Why are there so many assumptions about the game.
If you don't know something then ask us about it.
And anything in videos people make about the beta isn't gonna apply to the actual game since, in order to test everything out, the rate of events occuring and other happenings are scaled right up.
