That's not a guido. Also, kenji's avatar is pretty and all, but the tattoos kinda ruin it. It's not that I'm against tattoos, it's just that those particular ones are all over the face and in stark contrast to the hair and skin, making everything hard to see.

Computer broke yesterday :( Won't even start up for longer than 1 minute, I am definitely missing GW2 thing. If it weren't for my friend lending me his laptop, I wouldn't even be able to Google efficiently, or post here.

If it is than you could fix it in literally 10 min for under $80.

It might be CPU fan being loose, but I'm just going to let a computer repair guy fix it, there's a reasonable one nearby. He also thinks it may be that, and has a replacement fan. If not, he will repair it, so whatever. This is above my skill set, and I built the computer.

What exactly is the issue/error? Some of us here have some high technical skill sets.

It was that my CPU was loose, underneath the fan. I just pushed it back in.

(IE, first 1 minute, then 30 seconds, then like 5 seconds, or whatever) The thermal paste between the fan and CPU is broken, as well as the fan not being seated very well anymore, so it is probably the CPU turning the computer off to protect itself. That's weird how it was able to boot but not display and hard drives? That means it was able to atleast detect the primary drive and the bootmgr. Have you messed around within Safe Mode yet? Anyways it's pointless to try to troubleshoot it now that "the guy" has it.

You are probably right about either the thermal paste or fan not being connected correctly.

Window safe mode? I don't even get to the windows screen. It shuts off before I even see anything windows related. When I say boot, I mean turn on, sorry about that. The farthest it ever got was asking me for an OS installation CD, since nothing was found. And then it crashed anyway. At some point it said that bootmgr wasn't found. It has been changing messages pretty often, even when I didnt change anything between reboots. [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] @sgman Yeah, if that is it, then it will be a simple repair, and I'll have the computer in the next day or so. I wouldn't have been able to buy the parts myself for several days. But I am worried about why it doesn't see hard drives if it's auto shutting down due to CPU.

I'm sure by now that something was damaged after the repeated reboots and troubleshooting...Hopefully not though!

Probably, hahaha. Luckily my friend let me borrow his laptop, so I can at least do internet stuff.
