My automerge.
Going to be a ranger this time around, anyone have any suggestion of what race to pick?
it feels like WoW combat with more emphasis on mobility and evasion over just face tanking stuff.
if you don't like WoW combat because it has action bars then I can't imagine Guild Wars 2 will evoke much of an opposite response to that.
I haven't tried Necromancers yet, I have to try them now since I did love that class back in gw1, otherwise I'm finding Engineer rather fun.
I tried Guardian, Elementalist and Ranger last BWEs, because I didn't think I would like them.
Turns out I like all of them, and now I don't know what I want to play as.

Well I dunno, I think it actually DOES have a lot to do with mobility. Like, in most MMOs combat is standing stock-still while watching skills cool down. If there's at least some movement, it sounds like something I'd at least like to try.

you cant stand still really in this game if you do elementalists will take half your hp away pretty fast. pve bosses will also one shot you if you dont move. normal mob attacks would take 1/3 of my hp a hit so you need to dodge that as much as possible too, and think carefully about picking up an extra enemy by accident. I think every skill in guildwars can be cast while you are moving or if not they are skills you don't use 2x in a row.
this guy does a good commentary he is also a wow player.
One thing I keep forgetting about Guild Wars 2 is that most skills can be casted while moving around, I keep finding myself stopping my movement because I want to cast a skill while I don't have to do that at all.
I just hope the lag compensation doesn't come into effect for out of range crap.
Seeing as how some players can lag badly, and warp places, it's hard to hit them and correctly spot on them.
What did everyone think of guardian btw, i haven't played that yet for some reason and usually i always love the paladin type characters

I absolutely loved it, my only issue was the hammer's skillset (it has a nockback, but no gap closer, felt odd). but sword and board i adored. Most of your damage comes from burning it felt like, most skills are defensive, but there are some offensive ones, such as the summon ghostly weaponry.
Was thinking of trying a Sylvari Mesmer this beta 3, thoughts?

i loved mesmer, its a thief/necro really, it has lots of abilities to make you go invisible and dodge while your phantasms wear people down, there are some bugs that need fixing, i didnt find my self autohitting much though mostly just dodging. The scepter autohit is useless though because it erases your phantasms when it creates a clone and clones do almost no damage. So if they have fixed these problems i think it will be a lot more fun.
I also feel the the mesmers main abilities (f1-f4) were nerfed too hard i was better off not shattering my phantasms because they did 4-5x the amount a shatter would.
Decided to scan the updated files.
Don't recall this being in the bwe2?

Also found something that may be from the Asura cinematic after character creation.

well that 6500 is divided over (presumably) ~7 years, and the then the 1400 over 7 years (once again assuming he's been playing since both games came out the day of release)
which is like 3 hours a day overall? my math is probably wrong but 3 hours a day over 7 years isn't toooo bad
to put it in perspective i think Swifty (famous WoW player) has like 550+ days played on his warrior

For anyone who's missing out on a key, I have a spare for anyone who wants one. Shoot me a PM...or just reply if you want it (it's for this beta weekend).
Also how's WvWvW? I saw a bit of gameplay in it, is everyone able to fight everyone or is it divided into zones that teams are placed in?

It's initially divided in to 3 areas for the 3 seperate servers but anyone from any one of those 3 servers can go wherever the fuck they want at any time and fight anybody
[editline]18th July 2012[/editline]
also this may seem like a noob question but is the attack which is mapped as "1" for all weapons an auto attack, which i assumed it was, or do you actually have to constantly keep hitting it to do any damage? It shows up as white damage so i assumed it was an auto attack but it never seemed to want to AUTOMATICALLY attack unless i was clicking something wrong

Sorry man, already gone.
So far I've played ranger, thief, warrior, and engineer. This Beta I intend on playing mesmer and guardian. I'd like to try and find time to play a third so I can at least have tried almost all the classes. Would you guys more highly recommend elementalist or necromancer?
