Goddamn I forgot about that, heh.
Tarnished Coast sounds like the best idea. There's not very many big communities on it judging from that document. And besides, some members were already on Tarnished Coast on the last few events.
The RP community there is a bit of turn off. Like someone said before we'll be more interested in PvP not Rp-ing.

she recieved her code from curse back during that promo event a week ago, hasn't done anything with it. :I
I may be a bit late, but this happened to my friend as well who got his from curse.
Does anyone know what time, specifically, the beta will start tomorrow?
12 AM PST, no?
How about we kick it into GMT?
Just caved in and brought for the final beta weekend. If anyone here is from Australia, want to recommend the best server for the lowest ping?
Just caved in and brought
I wonder why so many writes it like this instead of bought.
Mostly because I wanted a free key to test the PvP/dodging with Australian ping for myself before I brought it.
Aha is that why you write brought instead of bought :v:.

He's pointing out that you're for some reason writing brought instead of bought?
oh man it's been so long since I've been ninjad, thanks Foxxie! Feels good man!
I realized that right after posting, I am ashamed.
Bummer, I just saw that me and my friends's's server got cut from the listing.
How about we kick it into GMT?
8pm gmt I believe.

Considering that they removed several servers makes you wonder about the server capacities now.
[editline]19th July 2012[/editline]
I'm not really sure we can choose a server just by what guilds are going to be on them. I know that may be a major factor but do we have to decide by that? My other guild was planning on sending several people to each server to test out the results of how people react to them on those servers and after the beta to give us the details.
The question is what are we looking for in our server? What do we want? Is it the amount of players that matters? Is it the intelligence of them? How about the player skill? Maybe it's just how much fun they are. How often that server wins WvWvW? PVP?
Personally I would prefer a medium populated server so that I still have players in each zone but not so much that each event is crowded. I want to be able to play with random people and not have to carry them. When I get bored I want to return to the city's to hang around and have fun with those random people without arguing about how stupid they are. Of course I wouldn't mind the occasional WvWvW win either because I'll be doing that a lot!
So I think the most important aspects for me are: medium capacity, player intelligence\skill, and fun.
After the BWE3 we should do a vote on what players want in their servers like the aspects above. Then we can compare them with the details we obtain from those servers. Someone is going to have to do a lot of research.
[editline]19th July 2012[/editline]
If we want to tag along on a server with a very popular and strong guild then we should probably wait until after the BWE3 to decide on our official server. Obviously this list will change after that.

I seriously doubt the RP community will have a large influence over the server, and I'm sure the RPers will be playing WvW. Plus there'll be other players who joined Tarnished Coast for the hell of it.

It will be hard to judge all of that in a single BWE I think. It's harder for EU servers as not everyone will be speaking the same language.
Come play on anvil rock with us, we're 460 members now. Let's be bros and wubwub together.
Most people know english. Besides, I can communicate through the medium of battle q_q
i don't really care about the BWE, but when release comes i want to join a server that'll be strong in WvW because i see myself doing that the most

Anvil Rock is pretty much one of the places I will never choose, sorry. Having /vg/ on that list will draw far too many people - those that are actually part of whatever guild /vg/ is making, and those that will just go because "hey, /vg/ is going"
Gate of Madness actually is looking like a reasonable choice (even disregarding the fact that "it has a cool name")
The community list shows that it has a bunch of guilds, and one large (?) community. I took the time to google a handful of the guilds on the list, and visit their websites. One alliance of 8 guilds on that list seems to actually have skilled players. They all have those generic "we strive to be the best", but some of them seem to actually be good players - a few of the websites/guilds have lists of achievements they did, like Rank 1 in Rift or Blah blah blah in WoW, etc etc. Mix of PvE and PvP, but seems to focus more on PvP.
Personally I think that it seems like a good choice. The name alone probably means a decent population, because random players might choose it, plus there are those listed guilds and community. It's impossible to judge the entire server on how good they are at PvP/PvE, but I think it has a pretty good chance of being above average. I don't think we will get stomped in WvW, a few of the guilds on the list focus on WvW specifically, and some of the rest are PvP focused, but that's not really a worry - unless we're on the worst server in the game, all the matches should be pretty even (after a week or two, when the rankings are made).
My 2 cents.

I suppose you're referring to /v/? Also they have a guild limit of 250 or so members. I think it's between Gate of Madness or Tarnished Coast.
PS, going by my guild signup form, we have 47 members. More will join after release, I am sure.

I've already done that, do I need to do it again?

If WvW is going to be more important to you guys then GoM sounds like a more solid choice. I won't be joining the FP server as I have some other friends I'm going to group up with.

That's the server I've been looking at as well a long with a few others. If other FPers agree, I guess that could be the choice for this last BWE.
I've already done that, do I need to do it again?
No
@Trooper
For the last BWE and, if the communities stay on the world, release as well, most likely.
