Yeah steam chat has gotten a lot better. Wasn't it sometime last year (or earlier probably) when they switched codecs or something, and now it uses the same technology Skype does.
Steam chat USED to suck ass, but now there's no reason not to use it.
Steam chat's quality has improved, but mumble is still better simply because it offers far more than simple voice chat. Different chat rooms, for example, can be very useful if the chat is very busy, you are in a party, and you want to talk without having everyone else not in the party talking over you.

The setting, story, quests, and some gameplay mechanics are cool but the combat is just really awful. Unfortunately it's an MMORPG so combat is what you are doing atleast 80% of the time and that being off just loses the whole package, atleast for me personally.
