I was watching some folks arguing over the best Necro Blood build over at /vg/ They had some interesting insights and they knew their shit. Was shocked at all the details they put into their arguments and the reasoning behind each of their choices. Minions will also steal life. Critical hits also cause conditions. The Curses trait makes conditions do a ton a of damage and theoretically anything that walks near your army of minions should fall down and die.
i want yogcast to do the warrior spotlight already fuuuuu
TB just said in his vlog that he'll be doing a warrior video in his next wave of content. As far he said, it sounds like he'll do more than just the weapon skills and he has more of the other skills.
WELP! That settles it. I'm being a ranger. That ability where your pet goes and heals a downed guy, that's a deal sealer.

I'm playing either a mesmer or elementalist, the billions of combos sealed it for me. I'm gonna take that one dudes fire crit build.
beta please come sooner i'm tired of the shitty unbalanced WoW PvP
WELP! That settles it. I'm being a ranger. That ability where your pet goes and heals a downed guy, that's a deal sealer.
Barely any AoE, though. If DaoC and Warhammer Online are anything to go by, World vs World is going to be all about the AoE. Personally, I'll probably play a healing oriented class. I hope sword and shield builds are viable because I want one, bloody tired of all this dual wieldery/two handery nonsense that I'm forced into by other MMOs [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] okay tell me how bad this build would be for general use

Bonus damage when wielding an axe and reduced cooldown for hammers and maces yet you use a sword and a shield. You're also missing your secondary weapon. Also, you must really hate conditions seeing as you have 3 skills for removing them. I'd recommend getting shield master (Increased armor when using a shield) and/or Missile Deflection (reflects projectiles when you are blocking) in the defense trait tree if you do plan on using shields. That way your shield would be offensive towards ranged characters instead of merely nullifying attacks.
hah when I was building (i.e. mashing nearly random things) I couldn't even see what most of the traits did for some reason guess I'll try to use some other stuff oh who am I kidding I'll just get every passive I can and not have skills lying about wasting their lives [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] OH so you click those fat bubbles, sheesh, no wonder I put everything on axe and 2h damage

Not to mention has traits that allows the ranger to ground target traps and increase the size of the traps. I would think that would make a good enough WvW profession anytime of the day! Imagine a hoard of enemies rushing across a bridge. AoE will do shit ton of damage, but throw down some crippling traps which will increase the amount of time the enemies are inside those AoE marks.
Wait, shit, are people actually playing the beta now? I never got an email again after my initial confirmation last week. :( [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] Wait, nevermind, I misread.

Looks like you are trying to focus on healing/support for allies. Although I noticed that you seem to only have one Symbol active on your skill bar, Symbol of Protection. Might I suggest that you select a secondary weapon, such as the Mace + Focus, to add Symbol of Faith as well as another skill (Ray of Judgement) that applies regeneration and removes a condition from allies. If you want pure healing, look into replacing Battle Presence with Write of The Merciful to apply more regeneration to allies. Although take into consideration that regeneration stacks only increase the duration of regeneration (currently). Going to have to experiment with it to figure out the perfect balance. Although those people only have access via family/friends of Arena Net. I heard a rumor that each person who currently has access was given two keys to hand out to their family/friends. Not sure if that's true, but why can't I just 'imagine' that's true!
I don't like melee tbh. The build is mostly for WvWvW or PvP too. Don't think it'll do so well in PvE climate where I could be soloing

My group preferred mobility and initiative over everything, and traps don't really fit that playstyle. I'm sure you could make it work, though, and it would be a very useful class for castle/keep defense. http://gw2.luna-atra.fr/skills_tool/?lang=en&code=2gna01h221k1o250000000 ? I'm going for mainly a condition mesmer that can use those conditions to allow allies to fall back. I'm a bit unsure how the stealth skills work though, if I use stealth field, would allies who run back into after attacking be undetectable by the enemy even if they run into it when in plain sight? How long does it last? Etc. Because depending on that, I would switch out teleport with stealth. My idea is to generally use one or two of the condition skills at a time so that if we ever start to get overwhelmed, I'd have enough condition skills ready to just spam all of them on as many enemies as possible, then either go stealth or set the teleport so my allies could get out of there quickly and reconvene. If all else fails, I'd also drop down time warp to give them more of a chance to get away. I'm not exactly sure how effective it would be though. Considering that I'm using a sword, it'd mean I'd be much closer to combat and may be taking more damage, with only one heal skill I'm not sure how viable I'd be soloing. In addition, it seems it'd be much less effective in PvP, although it'd depend on how I position everything. Oh, there are also traits, hold on. [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] Damn that makes this a lot more confusing.
if i play warrior im going to be sword mace, 2 1h axe, put bleeds and weakness on then switch to 2x 1h axe. dance between these two for crazy adrenaline gain and crit damage bonus.
