I feel like the WvW could be a whole game in itself. I think i'll be spending all my time doing that :V
gw2 could become my first mmo that i've tried for a long time. WvW just looks really good.
I just hope my system can handle the game.
Wow, WvW is pretty amazing. Could possibly be the only kind of PvP event that I'd enjoy.
I like PvP the more people are in it, so I am very excited about WvW.
Also, I decided that I am going to wear a costume to the midnight release of GW2 (assuming a place near me does an event for it.)
I will be wearing/bringing all the GW2/GW1 related stuff I have. So that will include:
A GW2 Bandana, signed by various developers
8 Guild Wars skill buttons
'Charrlie' the Charr plushie

I thought the beta for applicants began after or nearing the end of March?

I've been firmly set on being a Sylvari Thief, and my friends keep changing their decisions with the slightest amount of footage they see of any new class.
On of my friends wanted to be a Guardian. Then he saw a ton of great Mesmer footage (and hardly any good Guardian footage) and now he wants to be a Mesmer. Along with 4 other friends. Don't need that many Mesmers.
Plus, after seeing Yogscast's ENTIRE Dungeon video (parts 1 and 2. My parents recently got AT&T Uverse, and youtube buffers every minute with it. It's horrible), and I realized how useful having a Guardian would be with regards to the traps and the bosses. Shields everywhere, heals, buffs, you name it.
Plus, when you've got to keep the two lovers apart from each other, what better to do it with than the Guardian's hammer knockback, followed by a wall to keep them separated?
I'd post a link, but I'm on my tablet, and doing all that is a little difficult.

The Anet team have repeatedly cited TF2 as one of their favourite games and biggest design inspirations. Apart from the Engineer you can see some influences in stuff like the way every race has a very distinct silhouette. Even the Norn have a massively different structure from humans.

Everybody has the same-size targeting box and hitbox, so you could probably just click the air above a player. Not to mention Tab and the fact that you don't [i]need[/i] to target to attack somebody.
I'll be an Asura elementalist or engineer.
I have a hard time deciding on the class. I want to play an engineer, but it just looks a bit bland for some reason. I'll probably roll both and decide for sure after I've played them for a few levels.
Need more character slots. Do you guys know/think there is an option to buy extra slots just like in gw1?

Im pretty sure they cant use greatswords, only staffs, focus, sceptres, and daggers.
Edit: hold up just looked on a skills site and it looks like you can use great sword and some other weapons, when did this happen

I have not really dug into the ins and outs of gw2, mostly just seen the videos in this thread, but i was under the impression most classes can use most weapon types.
oooh yeah my exam session is by the end of march and right after that comes SPRING BREAK
