its the game
I'm kinda annoyed that I will have to pay $50 more than Americans will for the collector's edition, just because I'm from the UK. NCsoft can suck my dick!
That said, my 21st birthday is in April so I might ask for the CE pre-order as an early present :v:

I'm not getting CE for the simple reason that I refuse to pay more than America does, and the fact that 150€ is more money than I have at any point in the year.
What a shame, was looking forward to it as well.

Yeah, considering the game has no subscription fee I would have been totally willing to pay quite a bit for the CE, but I'm not going to support that kind of price difference for something which was already fairly expensive in the US.
25 Gbs, holy ass.
Been a while since I've played a game that big. Time to free up some space!
Also I want the collector's edition, but I technically can't even pay for college, so that's a nono.
Damn that price is steep for the collector's edition. While my birthday is a bit over a week after preorders open, I'd sort of feel guilty asking for something so expensive. If they sold the making of book and soundtrack as separate orders, even if they were slightly more expensive than boxed together in the collector's edition, I'd buy them.
Or a physical special edition without the statue.
Oh nevermind the soundtrack is just a "best of" compilation. I'll just wait for whenever they release the full soundtrack (hopefully Jeremy Soule does one like he did for Skyrim.)
Pre-Ordering may not give you access to the event in late march, you will have access to all beta events occurring after April 10th.

Ask them to buy half of it for you. You can pay the rest. That will make it fair enough for the both of you.
APRIL 10TH
CANNOT WAIT.
I'm kind of sad I can't afford the collectors edition, but still, access to beta events and a three day head start is good enough for me. My god, I still can't believe its this close. I remember when it was announced all that time ago.

Hard to believe most of us have been waiting close to 5 years.

And they screw Europeans over once again.

I'm pretty sure the standard will be. Digital download. May only be after retail release though.

Probably
The Summon is also temporary.
On the official site it says its a unique skill. So do you only have that skill temporarily or is it just a temporary summon each time you use it?
[editline]13th March 2012[/editline]
Also I wonder if real Rytlock would comment on the miniature Rytlock if you talked to him while having it follow you around.
It's a skill, so it has a CD and it should be permanent. Most likely for each class and obviously takes up the Elite Skill slot. It's not going to provide better stats versus those who don't have the skill.
Meh, I'd just pay for the beta access and get the regular edition.
Just as I thought, the system requirements surpass my processor. I hope I get a March beta invite, so I can test out the FPS.
Collectors Edition all the way

It's minimum requirements... It will most likely be un-playable and you will take away one beta key from someone who can actually play it.
Glad I saved a bunch of money for this. Sucks that its screwing foreign people over.
Is it April 13th yet?
[editline]13th March 2012[/editline]
Oh fuck...NOT FRIDAY THE 13TH!!! :tinfoil:
[sp]Commando profession ftw[/sp]
£65 for collectors edition, £65.80 in bank. oh lord i hope that 65 is including tax
Start looking for some loose change.
TOTALLY BUYING
I just want to know where orders purchased on their site get downloaded... I'm guessing steam but is this confirmed to use steam?
from what i know anet and valve have connections, and the original guild wars games are on steam so it wouldn't surprise me
http://www.vg247.com/2012/03/13/ncsoft-announces-pre-purchase-program-for-guild-wars-2/
Fucking bullshit.
Charging us even more? What the fuck is NCSoft/Anet thinking? "Yeah let's charge europeans double what we charge americans, fuck the fact that a large portion/half our entire fanbase is in europe!"
I just want to know where orders purchased on their site get downloaded... I'm guessing steam but is this confirmed to use steam?
I'm sure they will have a client that you download directly from their website. Just like Tera. I'm also sure that Steam will bring up a sale of their own once retail releases.

what kind of retarded logic is that
[editline]13th March 2012[/editline]
yeah okay we have to pay 20 more dollars, even better for brits, 28 additional dollars
[editline]13th March 2012[/editline]
I wonder if it's possible to get a VPN and buy it from the US, because that's just nowhere near fair.

That's the first thing I'm trying.
