also is it 60 or 50 in the US... joystiq said it was 60, that site says 50...
so many conflicting things. amazon and gamestop say 60. kotaku (blarg) says 50. Why can no one get their shit straight.
I don't see how they could stop you, provided you have the ability to pay in USD. If you use paypal or something and it shows up in Euros, who knows. It's really hard to tell what you can get away with.
Frankly I'm not seeing where you get 100 dollars of extra material out of the collectors edition, and the wording on the banker indicates that it expires after a few days. Is there going to be some microtransaction to have access to that sort of thing? If so, that is some grade A horse shit right there.
Was hoping for $40 standard and $80 collectors edition. Oh well.
$40? What AAA title would have that price
Especially one the competitors of which charge much more than 60$
$40? What AAA title would have that price
A man can dream.
Gw2 facebook page just said it was 130 for europeans. Maybe that first source was off, or they changed it
Edit:
I was wrong
HNGGRR I wanna buy all the GW2 but I'm a poor art student HGNNGNGNRNRNGngnnrgnngnr
I'm a poor art student HGNNGNGNRNRNGngnnrgnngnr
didn't your parents tell you
Is anyone still playing guild wars 1 are many people still playing and is it worth buying the game of the year edition? does the goty edition have all the expansion packs in it?
$40? What AAA title would have that price
A normal MMO might. But considering GW isn't P2P it's an exception. Hence the possible confusion on Dean's part.

I believe it has everything but EOTN. Don't quote me on that.

Kinda, if you enjoy it, no.
Phone wont let me edit my post earlier. It doesnt show pound or euro symbols, so i got confused
im wondering if i actually want to get the deluxe edition or the normal edition, are the 1 time use things actually useful? the only thing i like is the pet thing but i can see that getting useless after a while
Wish they'd announce where you can pre-order the CE from, i wanna get mine asap :(

I'm assuming it's once per character.
Once per account would be dumb as hell.
Then you could effectively boost your guild up by creating loads of characters, if its anything like the balthazar system in gw1 then all the pvp stuff will be linked via account too

:Siren:The one time use things are simply to give your character a slight boost, like giving you some extra cash to start the game. It's a one time use to get Glory and Influence, which you use to unlock rewards and shit. I just feel that everyone has been glazing over that... :Siren:
I'll probably get me and my brother the digital delux edition. The only thing that doesn't look attractive is the golem banker. 5 days seems a bit stingy.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to pay £129.99 for the collectors edition, it just makes sense because if a monthly subscription existed I'd rack up way more in expenses.
Plus guild wars 2.

Yeah i know its like a boost and whatnot but what if i join a guild and use the boost, i then decide that the guild is full of russians and decide to leave. I agree with the golem being a 5 day use which seems a bit pointless because i highly doubt that you are gonna get stuff at low level which you really wanna keep. the pvp boost thing seems like the only good thing to me , im personally not bothered about miniature pets.

Woo :smug:
Bought factions, nightfall and eotn as CE/SE, in game items are not worth it in my eyes, and there is no way i'm paying +100€ for statues and booklets. ~40€ one with soundtrack could be cool, i really liked the eotn soundtrack.

Highly unlikely
£50 for standard? You serious?
Make it £35 and deal.
Fuck it. I want it all. I want that damn figurine and artbook overall.

Just remember that there is no monthly fee so its a pretty good price
Just remember that there is no monthly fee so its a pretty good price
and remember that 35 pounds is roughly 50 dollars
Just remember that there is no monthly fee so its a pretty good price
and still though, they chose to not have monthly fees, doesn't mean they can ramp up the price higher than all PC games.
This price comparison thing is really silly. Games have been this price forever. I remember buying psx games for 60 euro (old currency back then).
It's not like by some magic event we are getting our games cheaper.
I think 60 euro for a triple A title that has no online fee is pretty good.
edit:
Oh yeah right pc games are cheaper. But if you have a console you're already used to these pices..
People are complaining because the Euro price is a higher price than the american. Converted from euro to US dollars they're paying something like 80 dollars instead of the US' 60
