Guild Wars 2 V2: GOTY 2017 or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Arenanet - Games

I'm going to re-write that post because it's just a mess. So the main problem people are worrying about is whether or not people will be able to buy Gold with (real life) Money basically making the system Pay 2 Win (P2W). First off think about what makes players 'Win' in this game. Is it their armor? Is it their skill? It's a combination of both, but the players skill is the most important part. You cannot buy skill. Also note that you cannot buy high-end armor and equipment with Gold either, it requires Karma! Now think about people not buying armor or equipment but using Gold for materials or other items. What are the currencies used for? Gold = Materials, etc Gems = Cosmetic items (no attribute benefit) Karma = high-end armor & equipment There is not current way to trade either Gold or Gems for Karma (which is in turn the initial issue of P2W). ANet did their homework! Those people who would pay (real life) Money to purchase Gems still wouldn't be P2W.

I feel sick to my stomach, knowing that others are downloading the beta. It kills me to see people getting into beta when they just heard about this game like 2 months ago. I've been hyping since the PC Gamer article in 2007. Feels bad man.

Devs go by the logic of "Dedicated fans will get it anyway, so no need to worry about them getting in!" and all that hoohah. I still frown.

I was playing GW1 since the day 1, I was camping the doors to the shop before it was even open. I've been playing 1 year with 2 friends, then another 1 year alone, when they decided to fuck it and move on. Even though I didn't buy any expansion packs (only base Prophecies, as I thought I will quit in a week due to my friends not playing anymore...), still I enjoyed the hell out of it, even when all expansion were out, I was still playing PvP only and I've been competetive (though, only RA). Since I heard GW2 I was spamming every friend about this game, to let them know, in order to have more mates to play with. I've been reading all articles, watching all videos, listen to all interviews since beginning of the GW2. I was even considering joining some 3D competition they had back there. It was also the only beta for which I said "No way! I'm not cheating here, I will be signing up with a single mail and not using my 2 other prehistoric computers out there in order to get more crappy dxdiags"... That's what I get. Watching some 16 yo Justin Bieber cheering up on his twitter that he got into the freaking beta and I'm left here waiting till April the 10th while those crapfags get to play... I feel like I would punch someone's face. I'm sad :(

Guys calm down. Just think about how the fruits of your patience will be much sweeter for you than for those who haven't waited for as long.

Facepunch should all unite together under one banner on the same server and run it like kings.

Since you can join multiple guilds, I'll definitely join a Facepunch guild.

I already have three guilds I'm joining. Although you have to remember that you can only represent one (display their emblem on armor/weapons).
