If all those people who didn't give a shit didn't enter, we would have a way higher chance.

Most beta participants don't even provide feedback, which - you know - is the sole point of beta participation. Too many people mistake 'beta' for 'demo' and expect a preview of the full game.

The place where I pre-ordered the game's standard edition just told me that my copy has changed to something called "Pre-Purchase edition". Basically, I get a box on April 10th, that is basically all I need to access the beta and get the hero's band, minus the discs, along with a serial key for the full game of course. [img_thumb]http://images.webhallen.com/files/guildwars2standard.jpg[/img_thumb] Sadly no word on collector's edition from them, hope it isn't exclusive to ArenaNet's own site since then that means I will be forced to pay in €. Anyone else who got this? Kind of sucks that you won't get the discs.

The Gem system reminded me of TF2 a little bit at first. Buying keys so you can get hats and stuff, but you could get those from playing and trading normally, too. Doesn't fit well once you think about it a bit more though [editline].[/editline] Not sure if those disagrees mean that it is like TF2, or that those disagrees mean that it shouldn't have reminded me of TF2.

I sent ArenaNet a strongly-worded email last night to their Community address informing them how upset I was that they made Guild Wars 2 too good, and how it is going to inevitably change the gaming industry forever and it's all their cruel and extremely talented fault. No response yet. Then again, I sent it at like 11:00PM PST so maybe it got buried under a bunch of other emails... Maybe I should just send it again? I'd really like for them to see it.

They'll probably reply, they're very responsive like Valve.
