Screw it, I'm buying CE. Gonna be a fun launch day!
People are streaming the beta.
Under NDA.
May as well pm a dev directly and tell them to ban you.

I don't think the devs care at this point :s
Just be quiet, sit still and wait for next month's beta. Like every other reasonable person.
This isn't for the beta, it's something else.
Out there somewhere at least one Arenanet employee is smiling.
That by itself is reward enough if you ask me.
[editline]23rd March 2012[/editline]
Think of it as a verbal high-five to the devs.
Yeah, that's good enough for me. I was just hoping for some confirmation that someone had seen it.

Two streams that might stream some footage as soon as the beta properly starts.
Get your 10 seconds of live footage before they get a face full of orbital banhammer :v:
Reminder to all closed beta players: you're under NDA. Don't risk breaking the NDA, you could permanently lose access to all ArenaNet games. ~RB2
Ha
Oh god I hope so. I hope the people streaming and so on get permabanned from GW2 :D

Their channels got banned before they even got any footage in :v:

For what it's worth, nothing would stop you from just making alternate accounts, and this is probably mostly posturing on their part. Even so, if you want to leak stuff, don't be an idiot about it.
I wonder if the Yogscast and Totalbiscuit are allowed to film since they are press.
Can't believe I never thought about it until now, but what do you guys think about sharing a GW2 beta account?
I mean all it would take is sharing your account/password, log on to the forums, download the client, log in and play.
The only way they would figure it out is by scanning for two computers or a different computer using the client under that account.
I think it's a great idea until they see multiple IP's from different countries logging in.. and they will probably check stuff like that.
Not going to risk access to all ANet games thanksverymuch
Yeah i'd leak.. but.. no
Oh god I hope so. I hope the people streaming and so on get permabanned from GW2 :D
"ya that'll show them for getting into the beta when i wasn't able to!"
Yeah i'd leak.. but.. no
You basically just leaked,
lol
Not really, the statement is too vague. It could be "I'd leak if i were in the beta" or "I would leak because im in the beta, but..."
I wonder if the Yogscast and Totalbiscuit are allowed to film since they are press.
TB said on a mailbox either yesterday or the day before about getting to actually play this time, so I think he might get some. In either case after this beta he'll be able to actually put out the GW2 videos from before since he'll know what he's talking about.

Thought the same, then I started putting my brains on and thought the same as Newbienice.
[editline]23rd March 2012[/editline]
Also a friend of me has a Beta Key and he played for 15 minutes then uninstalled.
For fucks sake.

All of a sudden I don't like that type of guy.
Your friend sounds like the type of guy that I don't like.
Him: Bored seriously.
Me: Give me your account! :P
Him: I Don't understand it.
Him: Seems like generic Korean MMO.
Him: It's nothing special.
Him: Guild Wars 1 was far better.
And ofcourse I didn't get the account. :suicide:
Makes me feel better for not getting in when there no Sylvari or Asura in the beta.

The accounts are locked to the hardware profile you sent in during the survey period anyway, so you couldn't use his.
A little better at least.. Sylvari Ranger is gonna be my main.

[editline]9th March 2012[/editline]
It does, you're not getting into the beta now.
Sorry.
Told you so
So now I can't play in beta unless the reopen registrations and I can change my hardware profile.
That kind of sucks.
A little better at least.. Sylvari Ranger is gonna be my main.
Same here bro... It makes me feel good to know I'll be able to play Sylvari in 27(26?) days!
nvm
Also I will post leaked content as I get them assuming they are worthy enough to be shared. Have some good sources.
[editline]23rd March 2012[/editline]
Not leaked content but a nice article that I'm surprised I missed:
http://guildwars.incgamers.com/blog/comments/spreading-the-love-conditions-in-gw2
[Fig. 1] shows the potency of each profession concerning skills. Here the condition skills were compared against non-condition skills within each profession separately. Whether skills gave only one or multiple conditions, they were all counted once for this chart.
Overall this chart looks normal in that there are less condition skills across all professions than non-condition; which makes sense. The professions closest to evening out between condition and non-condition skills are the Necromancer and Thief.
[t]http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/9859/fig1a.jpg[/t]
The next two charts [Fig. 2, 3] shows underwater and land condition skills across professions. Again; elites, healing, and utility skills were left out of the land skill count in this version–mostly because they can be used in either or, and it is not fully known yet what can actually be used in water).
[t]http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/9103/fig2g.png[/t]
The next three charts [Fig. 4, 5, 6], get more into detail with conditions across skills. Looking at All Condition Skills it is no big surprise that the Ranger, Elementalist, and Necromancer lead the group. Why does the Necromancer have less condition skills than the other two? *It involves how each ones skills are set up — besides the fact that the Elementalist and Ranger have more skills than the Necromancer in general.
Thief and Warrior fill up the middle along with the Engineer who can be seen (imo) as a “jack-of-all-trades” condition-wise. *The Mesmer and Guardian are both found last which shows — rather than using less general conditions — some unique game play styles. *Boons will be a big part for the Guardian while illusion trickery will follow the Mesmer.
[t]http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/8009/fig3z.png[/t]
We dive into the sickness now as the conditions–love–are shown across professions [Fig. 7, 8].
[t]http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/8230/fig4d.png[/t]
That's neat, though some of the information is rather vague.
It doesn't tell you what weapons on what professions inflict a lot of any specific condition.
Found this gamer review:
After playing for about 4 hours I can safely say that the game is not perfect, but it does deliver.
There are many bugs right now, like not being able to enter personal storyline instances, huge frame drops when lots of people are on screen, interface buttons that don't do anything, random graphical glitches, random damage spikes, empty PvP matches and so forth. Then again, beta is still beta.
PvP is NOT easy. You need high APM to be truly effective and this can put some people off. People always whine about bad players but seriously, guys it's not easy, AT ALL. Targeting is difficult and dodging effectively does require very fast reflexes. Moving, casting, dodging, healing, switching weapons, moving camera, looking at adrenaline, looking at circles on the floor, it adds up.
PvE is ok, it won't completely amaze you but they spiced it up just enough to make it worthwhile.
Note: this is not my opinion, hence the quotes.
