Guild Wars 2 V2: GOTY 2017 or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Arenanet - Games

GW2 was a day one buy for me the second I saw the Thief footage. I had been somewhat following it since it was announced but that sealed the deal for me.

Day 1 purchaser right over here. Unless there's a preorder list, which is technically a negative day purchaser. Either way, add me to some list about buying the game.

TB said something about the personal story having voice acting, so a real important question for me: is the player character voiced?

( possibly a stupid question )

GameStop and NcSoft support can't tell me if pre-ordering before April 10th (Since GameStop has it available) gives me beta access :<

I went in to EB Games (Gamestop in the US) and asked if I could pre-order now, then come in on april 10th to get my beta access. The guy said "we have no idea when we're handing out the beta access keys here, if at all. I'd just wait until the 10th and pre-order online" Atleast the guy was honest.

EB Games in my town said that i can pre-order but they doubt i'd get the beta key on the 10th, if ever. :(

I have three gamestops I can visit to get my CE pre-ordered. Two are in the same mall, and the other is a 3 minute drive away from the mall. No idea which idiot thought that was necessary.

So, knowing that there's a beta event coming up in late April, that they have more beta events planed in the "coming months" and that pre-purchasing becomes available on the 10th, then.. when can we expect a release? Pre- or post-August? I'm hoping to get to play the game at least a little before I have to go off to college.

The SE/Digital deluxe are also ripoffs, so that's something you can do for those. At least it's what I'm going to do. I'm not paying nearly double the normal price for a game.
