Oh, the day one list is being updated again? Count me in for that.
May or may not be able to get the pre-purchase box, but I'm still going to pre-order.
Oh god, what is ArenaNet going to do for April Fool's day this year?

Yeah I've been thinking about that for awhile now... I really hope they don't troll us too hard like lastyear.
[editline]30th March 2012[/editline]
If it's a fake release date then they're just assholes. But I highly doubt they would do that to us.
i think ill be pre purchasing on April 10th so you can add me to list

April Fool's jokes that could be true are dumb, but the ones that are obviously fake (and also well done) are the best, like last year's. It was obviously not going to happen, but it was so amazingly wonderful
Something as awesome as Commando I hope.
PC Gamer just posted an epic article.
Guild Wars 2 dungeons preview

(Two pages)
Guild Wars 2 is far less restrained: if your party is able to pull a boss out of their comfort zone, the game won’t stop you.
cool.
...a player moved the rock, causing the door to shut and trapping one of the bosses on the other side. After dealing with the first boss, we then re-opened the door and dealt with the other much more easily.
Sweet!
ArenaNet don’t want players to get into a situation where they wipe on purpose because there’s no way for them to win, nor do they want people to datamine and document every encounter in the game.
Yes!!
“We would build a dungeon and what would end up happening – and part of this is a symptom of the way Guild Wars 1 worked – there was a certain build that people needed to beat that dungeon. That’s a problem – there can’t be any one way to do things or that’s the only way people will do it.”
EXACTLY! The reason I quit GW1
...What we found, over and over again, is that it’s the skill of the players, and the professions make almost no difference. It’s how good you are playing that profession.”
THANK YOU ARENANET!!! <3
Finally, I hated doing dungeons over and over in GW1 because we missed a tank or a dedicated healer and we just couldn't get anyone, this will make it much more fun!
Sign me up on day one buy too, I've been waiting so long for this.
WAIT WAIT WAIT
What was last years april fools joke?
The Commando class.

It wasn't just that announcement though, they added in-game skills and quest for GW1, I still have some SS's of it. Here's one.

Thumb'd
Played the BETA.
The game runned like fucking shit on my huge rig.
Shit game confirmed.
Not huge enough. Though I've heard that there has been some problems with lots of players in the same area.

Obvious troll is obvious. Other than that, it hasn't been optimized yet, it's a beta: as in, the first time they ever get to test it on a wide range of computers.
Not huge enough
Two 580 and an I7 2600K should be able to fucking throw this game up in space, period.
( Was running on 40 FPS average lol, 15-20 FPS during events and waaaaay less during PVP and shit, nearly unplayable )
If the game gets released in that state, god damn it will be one of the most magnificent shitstorm. Ever.

AKA IT HAS NOT BEEN OPTIMIZED!
Bring up the defence shields.
Well, 40 fps is fine for me because I hate PvP and am going to be PvE centric. Yay.
40 FPS? I played ArmA 2 with 15 or less FPS at release, I've actually gotten used to it....
But true, it is a beta and it will hopefully be fixed soon-ish.
They always do optimization last.
Just pray that they do

oops it didnt update this page for me
im sure it will be sorted when they release new driver updates to go with guild wars 2, your comp is very out of the ordinary so they are probably more focused on making it work for the average computer first.

The human eye cannot usually detect the difference between 60FPS and anything above that; in addition, most people cannot tell between 30 and 60 FPS unless they are specifically looking. "Averages around 30, ever dips below 20" is a good rule; if the pre-optimization version of GW2 rarely goes beneath that on an upper/middle rig, I am not particularly worried.

i can tell the difference between 60 and 30 because my fraps caps it but its not really anything bad just doesn't seem as smooth.

People actually believe this.

Errr... Movies are at like 26fps. They are smooth, you really don't need higher fps than 30, maybe 35, tops.

Drop the psuedo science bullshit you've heard because "someone told you...", if you can't tell the difference between 30 fps and 60 fps in games then there is something wrong with you.
This includes moving around and not just staring at the screen doing nothing.
A game is not a movie, the general 24p film rule doesn't apply.
