I'm trying to figure out if I should tell my work I'm going to be a few hours late Tuesday for personal reasons... or just wait until i get off at 6PM and hope that there's still some CE for me!

So I just talked to a local GameStop employee and he didn't know shit about the beta events. He said I should come in ASAP to pre-purchase the game and all I had to do is put down a $25 down payement for the Collectors Edition. I told him that the devs said the pre-purchase is released April 10th. Then he told me the key would print out on the receipt or something? What the hell is this shit? Should I wait till April 10th to pre-purchase? I thought I had to pay the full $150 to get 3-day head start? Oh and he said release is in June which is obviously filler bullshit lies.

The codes shouldn't be handed out prior to the 10th so I will request that they save me one so I may get it that morning before school else I will beat them into submission. Collector's gives you no privilages other than owning it. IF NO COLLECTORS, GET REGULAR FOR DAS BETA!

Just buy the normal digital edition and use the $15 for better micro-transaction items

I always pay the cheapest for anything. I find all the people buying CE's hilarious. If you really want all the stuff in there cool I guess.

i hope the people who have CE's don't start crying about getting more access to the game than regular buyers like they did with ToR, although i doubt that would happen because Arenanet are awesome.

Yea they are awesome. I'm getting a CE on tuesday, and I'm not complainin.

I didn't like GW1 but GW2 looks like an entirely different game.
