WOW quick report for leaking!
I am so excited. Got a ton of friends and family excited, too.
Any news on if there will be a beta event this weekend due to the prepurchases?
Got my pre-pre-order on CE at my GameStop down! Guess each store has a limit to them because I got the a-okay. Gunna double check tuesday as soon as the store opens. Imma be waiting outside in my car like a creep.

Considering that Pre-purchase starts April 10th, it will allow players one week to download the client like ArenaNet allowed in previous beta events. It will most likely be during the week of April 20th.

I'm definitely waiting until 12:01AM to pre-order.. Anyone joining me?
I have had my eye on this game and it looks AMAZING, but...
and there is no targeting at all
..then how does the combat work? Do you just select the general direction of where you want the projectile/attack to go?
Also, besides cosmetics, what sets the races apart?

That seems wrong. I've seen videos where people have clicked on an enemy and it selected them. I think it's more that you don't have to select an enemy to attack it, you just aim at them and shoot / swing sword, etc.
The game automatically selected the targets for you depending on the way your are facing. You can even shoot at nothing. But I do believe there is the ability to select targets and switch them as well quickly and easily.
I think this article may answer some questions:

There is targetting.
Not sure where you got that.
no targeting, right
so when fighting the massive dragons what are the large arrow markers on their hands and head?

I see sarcasm still doesn't work on the internet. :v
I'm probably being annoying now what with all of the questions relating to this, but I have to ask just to be clear. If I walk up to Gamestop on the morning of the 10th and throw some money at them ($10-$25) for a GW2 pre-order, will they hand me a key? I unfortunately don't have the full pre-purchase amount.
(if so then I can just go pick up a digital copy from ArenaNet later and cancel the pre-order)
I am probably going to go with the engineer. Turrets and gadgets look amazing.

Nope, only prepurchasing gets you a prepurchase key.

I am also interested in Engineer for those reasons, but in all of the feedback I've been reading, Engineers' damage seems a bit lackluster. A slight bit discouraging.
Oh well, if I don't like the class, I'll probably go with my old favourite, Warrior.

Ah, well that sucks.

I wanted to play an engineer, but many of their skills look kinda random and I hate that.
I'm going to have to play each profession for a couple levels before deciding on a main character because to be honest, the amount of time I plan on investing I had better get it right.
i'm going engineer for sure, i don't really mind so much if the damage is low
that just means there will be less engineer competition when they get buffed
Charr Engineer, Norn Necromancer, and Sylvari Thief will be definite pick ups for me.
im so tore up between , ranger, warrior and theif. guna spend a good day testing them out in pvp to see which seems most fun
maybe a bit late but , you do target people but if you are out of range you can still shoot but it wont hit. im not 100% sure how it works when you dont have a target. if its just skills that are like you swing infront of you hitting upto 3 people for x damage. but i have seen people swinging without targets.
it doesnt make you auto face enemys which im really happy about, dont want it to be like gw 1 where you auto follow people mashing 1-8.
hmm just saw this youtube comment, did i miss somthing or is he talking rubbish haven't looked at gw stuff fin few days
"the full games is available 30 june but preorders can play the full game 27 june" god i hope its out in june that would be amazing
They haven't released an official release date. People who have ordered it though have got a placeholder date of the 30th of June. I am sure they will be telling us when the release date it very soon due to official pre-purchase date is tomorrow.

Fuck, if the game is released in late July/August I'm going to cry so much, since I'll be leaving the 20th of July to China and stay there for a month.
When I get back, the school starts on the next day...

I doubt it'll release that late, I'm more inclined to believe a release will happen in May than in August.
But if they are talking about monthly beta tests till release then it wouldn't make sense to have it in May. I am guessing it will be around end of June as the placeholder date they said or early/mid July.
