You get a DVD box containing a secure card with a serial code.
The store clerk at my local GameStop said he wasn't sure if you were going to get a physical CD or not later when the game is launched, but he asked for my phone number so that he'll update me when he knows more about it.

Yeah something's really strange with the email. I got the confirmation email to another address then the one I use to log in.

Apparantly the CE's have to get ordered seperately, so I asked the nice lady at the counter to do so for me. BUT! She said there was a very limited amount of them and the chances of me getting one are slim. :(
OK, so after an hour waiting I decided to pay with cash. GameStop's network was still down so I never got a code yet but the guy said I'm guaranteed to get a key.
Does anyone know how I can get my key now? Does GameStop have a website thing where I can confirm my account? I have the receipt.

According to Gamestop this is released 6/26.
Just ordered my pre-release from Play.com for £40. Saying awaiting stock but they do that for every pre-order. Just hope my pre-release code does get to me soon though.
I wanna download the game already!

To clarify.
Gamestop is retarded and doesn't know jack.
The thing you heard about beta access with the pre-purchases is true, you get a code that lets you in to the monthly beta's (However many there are yet to come is unknown)
You also get a 3 day head start iirc, when it releases.
Release date is unknown.

Preorders last out of anyone in the thread (At the earliest mid-May). First world problems.
With that said I guess I'll have to update the thread with the new info as well (early May at the earliest). Also if I haven't added you onto the day-one/preorder list, let me know so I can do that when I get home today.

I was going to say they might release on the anniversary of GW1's launch. But upon consulting its wiki page, April 28 seems far too soon.
Considering we're potentially looking at 2 months of weekend betas, i'd say the release will be late june early july.

I am going to cancel my assassins creed 3 preorder after ubisoft let me down after saying "USE A CONTROLER PC USERS!"
However I do not like the fact that the guy I have to go talk to to cancel it is a huge ass
he is like 50 years old i think and he acts like he does not want to be there at all.

The site I preorder from had the date 22 June 2012 but it could be a placeholder.
