They removed Assault and pissed about with the weapons for no real reason, if they had just made Unreal 2k4 HD without the grey bloom it would've been much better.

The lack of Domination and Assault bothers me, the looks of the maps aren't that great. Nothing but cities and Asia. They even made CTF-Face asia themed. :mad:
UT99 is the best. Also it has free awesome cheats by ArtificalAiming. Oh yeah, the old times when I played this beauty 10 years ago in basement-like computer club with my schoolmates..
2k4 is very nice, but it's not the good ol' UT. Anyway, it's nice. Nuff said. Always don't mind about loading Morpheus, enabling Instagib and adding as much bots as I can.
And UT3 is a console piece of shit. Thanks to Epic fags which now suck Ballmer's dick.

I never played Unreal Tournament back in the days but I got the Unreal Deal at a christmas sale 1 or 2 years ago, and I prefer UT99 though I sucked at it.

I would play the games much more if they weren't as dead.
For starters, they made the same mistake they did in UT2k3, they removed Assault(you would think they would have learned), then there's the whole "brown is realistic" stuff going on, also they reduced the number of player models from 90 to like 12, the maps were not as varied or imaginative as UT2k4's.
There's also the fact that it has better mods but that's really not the game's fault, it's more the modding community's fault, or the lack of it.
One reason I really didn't like UT3 was because it had horrible lag issues for no apparent reason
Demo ran at around 40fps for me
Bought the full version, got a maximum of 10

They removed invasion. You can't imagine how much fun I had on that gamemode, with mods to add custom monsters.

UT3 has The Haunted and Planet Storm. They're both rather good.
UT2k4 was intense. I was playing UT2k3 and was all 'I wish I had a huge tank with a giant point singularity weapon.'
Cue 2004. And agreed, UT3 pales in comparison due to EVERYTHING IS BROWN AND SLOW DJGSIUFG
I love both. UT2004 was my first online game, and my first FPS game. It's also where I got the name CowThing, because I used the Nali war cow model all the time.
I remember I used to play on this server where monsters came in waves, forgot the name of it. But there was a really cool gun that would place wood planks we all used to make huge beautiful homes while trying to stay away from the monsters. Was a lot of fun.
Anyways, I like UT2004 more than UT3 because it just feels better. But It's really awesome of Epic to completely release the UT3 engine, I have 3 games that use the UT3 engine not including UT3 itself, and there are tons more that use this engine too.

It also seems to have an absolutely shit netcode; I average about 160 ping on a 10 player UT3 server 50 miles away, while I get 120 ping on a GMOD server 3000 miles away that has several contraptions active and 8 players :frog:

I also didn't get what was up with the options. Most games, you change the visual settings and it looks pretty much the same, just slightly low def. With UT3, you lower the settings, it turns into a super blurry mess of a game.

I tried to play UT2004 a few months ago and there was no servers? ( UT3 has about 10 active servers, of which 3 are russian and 2 are bot filled )
Invasion on UT2004 was brilliant, some guy said it above - RPG mod made that so fun. Actually I have a half-made garrysmod version, might go start that again hmm..
UT3 has amazing map design, detailed maps, and great graphics, but really all UT games are relatively empty now.
