You could of just said Orange Box with GMOD.
that would be fucking stupid if gmod was for xbox.
It's a PC exclusive :smug: .
Hahahaha fuck no.
Besides how the hell would you even get addons or anything actually cool into it.
Not to mention how shitty building would be with a controller.
Valve owns GMOD. Its there models(99%), textures(99%) and some of there scripts, and sounds. In no where it says Garry has any permission to sell his mod without Valve getting any piece of it. That would be illegal. And they could release it if Team Garry and Valve agreed so.
Has no knowledge of the video game industry.
What is this i dont even
what a stupid idea, the game thrives on mods.
No addons, etc? No.
A guy who worked for valve told me that Valve just suggests some props/models/textures that Garry should put in. If Valve owned the game, then it would actually have a real VAC. Heaven Seven is stupid.
Dumbest motherfucker of the year award goes to...
HeavnSeven!
Fuck XBox. Make one for Atari 2600.
no extra addons and mods and it would be boring as hell
You never played plain gmod9? back in the day? I thought it was fun as hell! But days have changed i guess.
It would be so boring because you cannot add any custom content.
What they need to do is put hl2dm or half-life 1 on xbla. :colbert:
They would probably make you pay for DLC, when you already own the Orange Box. :ohdear:
This gets suggested all the time.
It will never work.
No addons and weird controls, no thanks.
If you don't own a pc that can run gmod (or any source game) you need to get out of my 2010.
That's like asking for other mods to be on the 360. :colbert:
Actually I wouldn't mind GoldenEye: Source on the 360.
I'm no developer, but Garry's Mod is much more resource intensive than Team Fortress 2 or Portal, especially once you have gigantic thousand-prop behemoths floating through the air. Even with a low-end PC, you can count on having at least 512 megabytes of RAM, plus dedicated video memory.
The Xbox 360 may have higher clock speeds and a faster pipeline than a low-end PC, but it only has 512 megabytes of memory for everything, including video memory. An Xbox 360 can run some games faster and flashier than a low-end PC, but when it comes down to it the 360 can't manage the complexity the the free form nature of Garry's Mod requires. It's part of the reason why the Team Fortress 2 updates haven't come to the 360. With all of the new models and textures, it's a struggle to keep the game within the Xbox 360's memory limits.
That, plus the complexity of assigning controls and incompatibility of the current addon system with the 360's UI, makes porting Garry's Mod to the Xbox 360 a pipe dream.
OP this thread is bad and you should feel bad.
Goddammit
people who play 360 would spend all their time posing ragdoll buttsex and fucking up other people's builds
No. No, no, no, no, no. Just... No... No. Not that. No.
And yet for some reason this thread keeps coming back each year. :raise:
"Orange box was winner of best deal with it's best action game of the year and highest rated PC game of all time brings you yet another blow of the Valve."
Wha?
Sure this will happen when TF2 is ported to the WII.
I could actually see Wii gamers enjoying Team Fortess 2.
Yes
