Your power plant is ready.
God fucking damnit I'm so fucking tired of CDs disappearing for fuck's sake, I saw my RA2 CDs a month or so ago and now they are completely gone.
my face right now is priceless
I liked generals more. Use hacker to buy enemy HQ, sell it, and set them back $5000 like a bawss.
Eh I like Generals, but personally I don't think as a C&C game. It's a decent RTS, but not C&C quality.
Finally found my CDs. Now Yuri's Revenge randomly CTDs every 30 seconds though, I'm on W7 64-bit (which I'm guessing is the culprit), anyone know a solution?
Right , let's give this a shot. Can everybody TRY to log into what appears to be westwood online in Yuri's Revenge. from there , someone host a game.
EDIT:
Turns out there are , surprisingly , quite a few servers up.
Any FPers there?
I have the first decade somewhere... Still, my favorites are Tiberian sun and Renegade, renegade is probably my most played shooter, somewhere in the 800hours.
I love Boris, no homo.

Have you tried installing the patches?
Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 are what got me hooked on RTS games.
I'll get bitched at, but I like Red Alert 3 as well :v:
*fortifies into GI MG nest*Prepared for incoming boxes!
Holy fuck C&C Reloaded is awesome. Nod and Soviet versus Yuri versus Allies and GDI fuck yeah. Fuck new games, I don't need no fancy new RTS' now.

I'm quite sure the install version already has most of them, however I'll try to re-apply them all tomorrow since I'm not sure, thanks.
I shouldn't have played Reloaded now. It's 22:30 here and I have school tomorrow, but how the hell am I supposed to sleep with that kick of adrenaline and nostalgia?
Damn , Tesla towers and Tesla tanks are so weak in RA2 , in RA1 you could destroy one army with 2 tesla towers.
Hnngfdsfg. RA2 is undeniably the best RTS in the entire world. Clone facility + boris = hell on earth
I curse the day when my big brother sold both RA2 and yuri's revenge to game store.
He got pretty good money from yuri's revenge but that is no excuse.
Hmm anyone else having random CTDs with a x64 system? My main with 6GB RAM W7 x64 crashes every 30 seconds, while my laptop with 2GB W7 x86 works flawlessly, also if I limit the available system memory on my main to 2048MB it's a lot more stable (but still crashes, just every 2 minutes instead of every 30 seconds), so it definitely seems to be memory-related.

And yeah it's fully patched.

you have to run it in compatibility mode and some other crap , acidentally saw this problem when I was looking for one I was experiencing online

Yeah turns out that going into the main directory and setting every single .exe file (not just the main .exe) to compatibility for XP SP2 made it a lot more stable (can play 10 minutes without crashes, which is doable).
Summary of RA2 online:
lvr
no superweapons
no spy units

I loved this game, particularly when you engineer rushed with a flak track and stole a Allied MCV.
I got addicted to this game for months on end. Shame to see people seem to forget it now.

That's easy to do, but it's nowhere near as satisfying as a good old Prism tank/rocketeer rush
Every time I play as Allied, Prism Tank rush. Every time I play as Soviet, Conscript rush.
facepunch online battle
y/n ?
Personally my favorite CnC is Generals. Though I bet people are going to rage at me for that. Oh well
It confuses me that i don't hear bad things about generals anymore.
Generals certainly was a bad c&c. But as an rts is was quite fun imo.

Generals is certainly good , however once you download Shockwave you'll be playing it for hours on end. Shockwave makes the game literally perfect.
Usually I just play Generals by default with all of the infantry reskinned
Just beat brutal AI in 15 minutes.
quite chuffed. They rely on air and tank 'waves' too much.
