I loved these games, but I have to say I loved Zero Hour more, and the mods for that are so damn fine.
The apocalypse tank is the only tank I genuinely feared. I mean, it shot FUCKING NUKES.
It will soon be, a wasteland.
Nah, prism tanks are way scarier.
I find that I rush with prism tanks most of the time, and don't usually have any fixed Anti air, but instead a battle group of 10 or so IFVs.
Para-trooping just at the side of enemy bases for half the game and then rushing in w/ sandbag tactic is also a win tactic.
Actually, I haven't tried it vs. Brutal enemy yet..
Never played online.
Back then i used to play red alert 2 as realistically as i could (6 4 man squads and 3 tanks only) got my ass kicked.

Brutal really isn't that hard at all, if you want a challenge given by the AI you are going to need mods, or go 1v7.

Oh and try having Super Weapons on.

I'm not that good yet to go for 1v7 all brutal, but one of these days, eh/
As much as I like RA2, I still prefer tiberian sun.
I prefer RA2's gameplay to TS's, but I must admit, TS had some of the best atmosphere ever.
"Is it done, Yuri?"
"No Mr. President, it has just begun."
I'll never forget those lines.
It's "No, Comrade Premier, it has only begun." :colbert:
I'm too lazy to edit my other post with a second image, so i'll just leave this here:

I have about three or four of those things, plus TFD. :smug:
Red Alert 2 was the second RTS game I ever played (the first being Warzone 2100). I still remember the day my dad picked it up at Costco. That day was awesome.
[editline]When EA stops making bad RTS games![/editline]
I'm fairly certain XWIS now handles the older C&C games' servers.
Red Alert 2 was the first Red Alert i played.
And holy shit was it awesome. I always picked Russians and spammed Tesla Tanks :3:
KOMMUNISTEN
Man I loved how when Tesla Troopers got full vet they had this super cool looking zap effect. Shame I rarely ever got one to survive long enough to get full vet with them. Oh and RA2 made me fall in love with flak guns. No game after RA2 has actually had the awesome flak cannons with that cool black cloud explosion effect
Reinstalled this 2 days ago, havent really had chance to play, but god i love these games so much. It upsets me that the series started going downhill after EA took over, especially after tiberian(um?) wars.

C&C started going downhill a little little earlier than C&C3. Most people will agree that Generals and ZH were the "last good C&Cs".
C&C3 was decent, though. In my opinion, of course.
EDIT: Or, at least, its campaigns were. The skirmishes were boring and I haven't played actual multiplayer.
I wish they remake RA1 with HD graphics and 3D models.I liked RA1 more than RA2.

Tiberium is the substance, Tiberian is the word used to show something is made up of/caused by Tiberium.
Tiberian Sun <-
Tiberian Twilight<-
There's one exception;
Tiberium Wars.
Gentlemen, it's a nuclear device.

or you could just say that Tiberian is an adjective , whereas Tiberium is a noun.

Anyone remember the big game boxes that comes with it? Fuck man, I miss those times.
Also, I simply can't play commando(one man army) mission. Like the one where Tanya have to attack some Siberian nuclear base. FUCKING ATTACK DOGS EVERYWHERE.

Or you could just say that I've been awake for 17 minutes and English is my third language, thus preventing me from being able to remember the correct terms at the time, but yes, that'd be accurate as well.
Oh god and I love the president mission. Somehow.
I fucking loved Red alert 2 and Yuris Revenge, they completely hooked me and i played them often up until 2006, and if anyones wondering about server Ea dropped support for it so no official servers, although Xwis picked it up and now host the entire thing.
Also nothing beats watching your enemy send loads of demotrucks at you, only for you to destroy them then watch how he had a large line of them and they explode in his base.

Mind controlling them and sending them back is also fun. :v:
I really need to get The First Decade.
I only have Red Alert 2 and Renegade on CD but I lost my cd key for Renegade and only have the Allied disc for RA2.
Is TFD really as buggy as reviews have made it out to be?
I decided last week to play through the RA2 campaigns again (I never actually finished them back in the day)
I'm on the final allied mission. Shits about to go down.

I have it, I haven't experienced any problems.

I've not experienced a single bug , I've had it for years.
