Otherwise, once Gordon finished his job, Gman wouldn't have extracted him and placed him back into stasis. The only reason Gordon came back out was because the Vortigaunts stole him (or rescued him, you could say).

KLEINER AND ELI MUST HAVE KNOWN what the gman was planning for barney having gave the suit to gordon in the first place that is the only way... they knew the portal will fail on gordon and he told llamar to do it on purpose cuz the gman convinced them to do so then gordon has to get to black mesa east to eli where he says get into ur lab coat where you belong then hell breaks loose again and gordon ran away because the rocks fell which dog could have broken away and saved the day with the grav gun. :P The G-man is but the benefactor who helped Breen and gordon has none mouth because that why he cant talk gman ripped it off :D

At the end of the first game gman says "As for the suit...i think you've earned it" So he probably gave it to eli or left it somewhere he know it would be found, he wouldn't leave it on gordon then drop him on a train in the middle of a combine city wearing it. The combine would drag gordon away right of the bat if he was wearing the HEV suit on the train.

Yeah the suit in HL2 is kleiner's updated version of the BM suits. What I want to know is where Gordon got the civilian clothes that he was wearing when he woke up. I mean, didn't the Gman [i]specifically[/i] say at the end of HL1 that he would let you keep the suit because he thought you earned it? EDIT: I should really read the thread. Rated myself dumb.

My take is this: Eli knew of Gman from prior to the Black Mesa incident, meaning he was already associated with the Gman's meddlings, which included Alyx's rescue amongst other things. When Gordon chose to be Gman's hired gun, his suit was probably given to Eli as well as the knowledge that he would return sometime. Thus, Kleiner got the suit from Eli.

When you get your suit in HL1 theres an extra one at the side in another chamber. Kleiner took it from there, if you delve deep into the half life 1 files you can find a scientist in a HEV suit. Wisdom.

Do you not remember that at the end of HL1 GMan says something like "And as for the suit... well, I think you deserve it" Could it be linked somehow?

:iiam: But seriously, in the beginning of HL1 there were spare suits near yours one. Or when you arrive in City 17, combine had stripped him of weps and shit, and put the suit in their locker. Then kleiner took it/Barney and the rebellion broken it and stole it.

he just got an other suit from black mesa. i thought Gordon took of his helmet when he was talking to someone.
