dayuuuuuuuuuuum. Do want. Even though I'd probably be spanding ym time killing everything.
Pray this doesn't get delayed. Looks like i've found a new reason to visit the Games Scetion each day as well :v: Anyone else find them themselves focusing on details on these games? In Black and White I'd sometime get so engrossed in building cosy villages and growing forests i'd sometimes ignore my villagers to near starvation.

As a massive populous fan, this game is a dream come true for me. This game just looks like the good parts of black and white, a physics sandbox game, and populous :the beginning lovingly crafted together into something from my wildest dreams! ^_^
Looks amazing. Definitely my new most-anticipated game of the moment.
Dat' water physics. But seriously, this looks amazing.
I sense an unintentional pun in the title. A spiritual sequel about a God game? Heh, get it, spiritual and god and stuff....
Fuck yes, this looks so goddamn awesome. I just hope that Console and PC versions become separate, to stop it from being dumbed down. And I'm amazed that nobody has noticed that this ALSO looks a lot like Black & White, but with good graphics and quite possibly A FUCKING MAIN MENU! And I hope to the point of praying to any god out there, that this game will be moddable. IF SOMEONE MAKES A MOD TO ADD EVOLVING PEOPLE RUNNING RIGHT UP TO FUTURISTIC WARFARE ON A PROCEDURALLY GENERATED WORLD YOU CAN CONTROL, I WILL FUCKING CREAM MYSELF!

Also there is no word on moddability yet, but yeah I hope so too, mods would be awesome.

A game similar to that crappy flash game of "civilisation evolution" except not crappy, with many more units, and holy shit it would just be so awesome too if there was online mode, just to harbor our abilities to go around killing stuff with squads of tanks on constantly generating worlds. Of course, we'd have to slow down the procedural generation a little, otherwise SPONTANEOUS INSTANT VOLCANO OH GOD WHAT THE FUCK I'M DYING HELP ME
This won't have the Ubi DRM will it?
http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/29953/GDC_Europe_Eric_Chahi_Talks_Convergence_Of_Technology_And_Design_In_Project_Dust.php?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+GamasutraNews+%28Gamasutra+News&utm_content=FeedBurner Another interview with Chahi, not much about the game but this:
In the future, the game may also have real-time weather simulation. "It will be done eventually. I don't know if it's in the first release or not," he said. Ronan Bel, the game's technical director, noted that all the tools in the game are made by the team itself. "It's more fun to make it by ourselves," he said, though moments before he had just made a shooting pantomime in Chahi's direction at the discussion of adding real-time weather.
Other than saying that real time weather will be in later, it also means that these guys are going to add in more features and content through patches. Also:
To reach a very high level of performance, all of the above is natively implemented in SIMD 128 bits and fully multithreaded (entirely with SPU on PS3).
https://www.cmpevents.com/GD10/a.asp?option=C&V=11&SessID=11298 So for all of you getting the PS3 version, it seems it won't be just a shitty 360 port (and it seems it will use all cores on the PC too).
Oh god that engine is fucking amazing, hopefully they'll get to tornadoes, hurricanes, storms that dynamically flood terrain, etc. I'll be too busy fucking with the environment and creating islands and continents to actually accomplish given goals. Oh, and this needs mod support.
Someone make an army mod, tanks that shoot fucking lava shells, or planes that drop water to douse fires or flood enemies. A plane that drops an Earthquake device that sinks the ground would be epic. Dear christ, the engine potential is amazing.
I want this game and Black & White to make sweet love and pop out a wicked awesome sandbox baby.
I hope they change the cursor tool. That great big ball of element seems a little clunky.
Will this have a sandbox mode?
I wonder what machines they're using to develop the game.
I wonder what machines they're using to develop the game.
They're using forklifts and iodine pills.
This is a game i could buy and have fun with for years and years. who doesn't want to play god? even if he's imaginary or not. molding the landscape is hilarious.
sequel will be called to dust [editline]11:25AM[/editline] or 2 dust if they want to get creative two dust
Seems fucking awesome.
This won't have the Ubi DRM will it?
Ubisoft removed it for RUSE I think, so probaly not. [editline]07:57PM[/editline]
sequel will be called to dust [editline]11:25AM[/editline] or 2 dust if they want to get creative two dust
From Dust>Dust>To Dust maybe?
no because the quote is from dust to dust and then they can do something edgy cause itd be the 2nd game and be all like: 2 Dust
Why is this even an issue when this game isn't even close to out the door?
Why is this even an issue when this game isn't even close to out the door?
Don't remind me....reminds me of when I first saw Spore's GDC tech demo back in 06. I can't deal with that kind of anticipation and wait again. Hopefully it'll make it out some point in 2011. Engine looks pretty well advanced already.
Also this isn't really on topic, but is it just me who thought that the developers of Heart of Darkness must have had a vore fetish?
I think I read that it was going to be on Steam, but I can't find the source so I won't add it to the OP until I do.
It's in the last page of the first link you sent.
multiplsyer is going to be very hard on this game, they should focus on the single player first then add multiplayer later in a patch or addon.
wow this actually looks fun :P Video looks very basic but still looks like fun lol :D
