This looks really great, but the whole no objectives thing makes me think that you wouldn't have much reason to do anything after a while. I still have high hopes for it.
This had better not be a repeat of Spore because this looks :krad2:
Looks amazing. I want to see fauna growing thicker and quicker around water sources and slower across various other surfaces.
I wonder how the people evolve. Is it always a small tribe? Do they spread? Do they fight? Do they adapt? Do they invent? Are there animals?
I want to build an entire beautiful landscape, then have a single human do something that does not impress me, and I smite their world and sink it to the bottoms of the oceans like Atlantis.

Watch as the sea of change washes over their pitiful existence in a matter of seconds.
I hope this will have a sandbox mode where you just mess around with nature and humans. This game looks great, hopefully nothing in the tech demo is nerfed.
I dunno. Ubisoft usually makes a great engine, puts an ok game on it, and then moves on. No mod support, updates, etc.
Case in point Farcry 2 and Assassins Creed series

It's be sick if they could grow and spread out, forming more and more tribes and villages, they'd hunt for food and goto war and trade oh god this game could be amazing.
I'd just watch the humans make villages, trade, etc...
Then suddenly mass flooding.
"Whoa man my humans just created the most beautiful display of love towards their natu- oops i dropped a volcano on them. v:v:v"
I hope it has a creature creation system similar to Spore's E3 Alpha demo.
Well atleast it won't be $60 (for PC and consoles). The only thing I'd really like to see is the tribe's technology progressing as the game goes on, some tribes becoming heretics and declaring war on your tribes and such
But this is a nature simulation, not a human simulation, sadly enough
Wait, that thing in the end with the earthquake happened in game? Where the person grabbed the other person's hand to help them get away? That's some crazy npc to npc interaction right there.
oh god I want this bad. I'd give up sex for 3 months to play this.

Man, I would never get tired of seeing that. I wonder what other situational interactions NPCs have?

Probably not. It's a trailer. Remember all those early PS3 game trailers with "ingame" footage?
Wow, game looks fucking awesome.
Can't wait for this to come out.

You don't create creatures in this game. You create WORLDS. Full of creatures that you don't create, that is.
Iiiii wwwwaaaaaaaaaaannnntttt iiiiiitttt!!!!
Looks very entertaining, the way nature just does it's thing, and the water flows and what not is all very sexy, and good concepts! Hopefully this is as fun as Spore was (which was a let down.)
:krad2: As another poster said
I hope this doesn't got the same way as Spore, a game with potential dumbed down.
This looks amazing. Glad it's coming out on PC.

:ughh: at myself. Thanks added that to the OP then.
Also this means... Good news everyone! No Ubisoft DRM.
I think I will get this game. It looks really promising, and it looks like it will be great even if it's only half as good as the trailer made it out to be.

Not much about the game itself, but there are a pair of questions related to the game features. I'd recommend reading it anyway.
Looks like spore, only more Realized and brilliant.
[editline]09:33PM[/editline]
Definitely getting it.

I hope the world will advance to the modern day, so we can play with huge cities.
Also, I hope that there will be ways to kill the people, like flowing lava into them, watching them scream as their flesh is burnt off, knowing there is no escape.
Awesome.
Am I the only one who isn't really impressed b the videos and everything? It just looks like a fancy tech demo turned game with units who wander around and you save their asses from dying every once in a while.

Its not gonna be a full retail 60 dollar game you know. Its digital distribution only and I think it will be atleast under 30 dollars.

For some reason I was thinking this, if it's true I'll probably get it anyways because no matter what it's still pretty unique.

You do realize that you are going to be one killing them?
