Didn't think GTA V was coming out to PC with simultaneous release as Consoles....
But this got my hopes up.
(I know nothing about the game at the moment other than that trailer)

I thought this was USD for a second... EB is still insane either way.
This is Rockstar we're talking about. They don't give a fuck about shit they get from parents, PETA, whoever. There is NO "oh, no dogs, PETA will get mad!" - in the end, they just don't give a flying fuck, because they're just making video games.
They're a company that believes in taking risks for good gameplay.
I guess that's why they took out the modding ability well an easier way to mod thier games...
I guess that's why they took out the modding ability well an easier way to mod thier games...
They didn't "take out" anything, GTA never had any official modding abilities.
They didn't "take out" anything, GTA never had any official modding abilities.
GTA 3 up to SA people had no trouble modding the game, GTA IV it took a lot of time to get around what ever they did, they made it twice as hard for us to mod for the games.

Not really, it took pretty much the same ammount of time to get to modding GTAIV properly as it did with GTA3. VC and SA were on the same engine, so it was only a matter of modifying the existing tools to fit the updated engine. With GTAIV, they had to start completely over. If Rockstar wanted to take out modding abilities, they wouldn't keep all the game files neatly seperated in seperate folders, all data files being simple text files and all model and texture files kept in simple archives.
I really hope there's no kids. having invincible kids walking around would be really annoying. I can't see them actually letting you kill children, and whilst I have no desire to do so I'd sooner they be left out altogether.
Maybe the children could be short NPC adults, with same voices and everything?
Oh wait...that'd be kind of creepy.

And pointless.
It was awkward enough when I talked to a little girl in Skyrim with my shady Argonian robber-murderer.

For the story: I think that it would be pretty cool if the choices you make are between morale and success.
As in: Play the game like a good guy, then you are going to live in a quite crappy house but have a good conciense in the end.
Play the game like a sociopath and you get to live in the nice condo's.
I don't think this makes much sense, GTA is all about living a criminal life anyway, and about moving up in the world.
LCPDFR is so damn cool
I am arresting everyone who looks at me funny, put a ticket on their car and shoot their kneecaps
Just like a real policeman
Woops wrong thread, sorry
I'm just hoping it won't be all grey and gritty like IV, it was trying to go more realistic and it ended up being pretty bland.
I had a good time playing it and all but its GTA, it coulda been a little more silly.
Hopefully better clothing options too, you really couldn't get good clothes in IV.
I think they could get a good balance of serious and silly, SR2 did it and that game was rad shit.
GTA has been more serious that Saints Row. Judging by the trailer the environments will be more colorful. The clothes were fine in IV, I don't see why they're terrible in your eyes.

SR2 was a lot fun and had a pretty good balance of wackyness and seriousness but it's still way to wacky for a GTA game. Gameplay wise I wouldn't mind some over the top stuff from saints row 2 in GTA ( Like car surfing or skydiving ) but storyline wise it couldn't bring up the immersion I'd like in a gta game. GTA tries to be very immersive and it wouldn't help if you had white poeple along with asians spraying up walls saying ''G fo' live'' while driving in lowriders and stuff.
GTA has a more satirical, but serious atmosphere (at least that's what they've been aiming for in the last games). Saints Row is all wacky, and, differently from GTA, it's jokes are far from subtle
But I agree, the new game could be a little bit more colorful

I agree with you, the clothes were fine. But maybe a bigger variety would make everyone happy.
I think the game should introduce manual transmission vehicles in the game, but nothing too complex, just have the player have one hand on the wheel, the other on the gear shifter, and have animations for shifting gears while driving.
It could work.

I was sad when there were a extreme limit in amount of hats and shades... Aviators in GTA V plis

First of all, we’d like to again thank you and everyone out there for the amazing response to the debut Grand Theft Auto V trailer. We know that there are a ton of questions you all have about the game, including release date and lots else.
Right now, we are very hard at work on the game and are excited as well to show and tell you more as development progresses - expect that we'll be talking much more about GTAV starting at some point in a few months’ time.
Please hang tight until then and thank you all for your patience and support!
“Rockstar, I really can't wait for new information about the new GTA. And is it only in Los Santos or too in SF and LV?” - MatsvanStam
As we revealed in our announcement about the game being officially in full development, Grand Theft Auto V is set in the city of Los Santos and its surrounding hills, countryside and beaches – and it will be the largest and most ambitious open world game we’ve ever created…

From the new Max Payne Q&A - http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/20351/asked-answered-max-payne-3-and-more.html
I just love how determined they are to not give a full straight answer about the location!
However, I'm far more interested in this:
Right now, we are very hard at work on the game and are excited as well to show and tell you more as development progresses - expect that we'll be talking much more about GTAV starting at some point in a few months’ time.
That was a full straight answer, its set in Los Santos and surrounding area. Nothing more, nothing less.
Also E3 is in "A few months time"
I am now 100% that Rockstar Games will release more GTA V info after the release of Max Payne 3.

Uhhh no shit? And the earth goes around the sun
Have you guys ever noticed that the Jefferson Motel & the building in the chase scene looks similar.

however, I don't see the alleyway next to it

That might have something maybe to do with that they're based off the same area?

Well, it has the "..." pause at the end, and also they are strictly sticking with what was said in the announcement, nothing more, even while they answered another question.
I'm not trying to grasp onto some hope that the rest of SA will be in there, just pointing it out.
