Metroid: Zero Mission. It's awesome.
Don't forget fusion! Even though fusion had a lower age rating , it's twice as hard!
Metroid Fusion is scary as hell oftentimes. Dark areas with nigh-invincible enemies, things flying around in the background, SA-X... Oh god, SA-X. The fact that there's so many videos on youtube of someone trying to make SA-X seem silly or dumb in its AI simply proves how goddamn creepy it is. When you actually play through the game... This shit is scarier than Dead Space. Hell, Dead Space was copying Metroid anyway! ----- And both Golden Sun games. They're beautiful, huge, deep, engrossing games. They have environmental puzzles galore along with an actually unique story, among other things.
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories is lots of fun.
SA-X scared the fuck out of me. Also how could Dead Space be copying metroid. You play as a space miner, not a amped up super soldier/bounty hunter.
I personally liked Wario Land IV, although it's not quite as good as II and III. WarioWare: Twisted is great, and even though you said no to games like that, I still recommend it. Yoshi's Island II is really good, as well as the Super Mario Advance series. Metriod fusion and Metroid Zero Mission are great. I'm seeing that these games are all rated well on the Metacritic top GBA scores list, and I suggest checking that out: http://www.metacritic.com/games/gba/scores/
Halo invented Gameboys.
Guardian Heroes
Astro boy:Omega factor
Advance wars, fire emblem, pokemon. Hours of fun.
Pokemon silver and gold :eng101: The new pokemon games suck dick.
Golden Sun Golden Sun: The Lost Age Good games and a lot of fun. Long too!
Sonic advance 1, 2 and 3 Warioware
Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of memories It's kinda hard to find but it'd be so god damn worth it :D
Pokemon silver and gold :eng101: The new pokemon games suck dick.
HGSS :science:
Pokemon silver and gold :eng101: The new pokemon games suck dick.
To be honest, I don't view Gold and Silver as any more classic than Emerald, because I pretty much only played the first generation before getting out of touch with handheld platforms. I think I'll buy Soul Silver when it comes out though. [editline]01:01AM[/editline] Oh wait... I'd need a DS for that.

I actually could feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins. Not many games do that nowadays.
Pokemon Leaf Green / Pokemon Fire Red, its the original pokemon games (red+blue) remade.
Metroid Fusion is good, I've been playing it on my DS lately. Yoshi's Island as well.
Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. Favorite game ever on any system.
yes
