The Jak Series (Megathreadish) - Games

I still have the third game, and I've beaten all three, (The first two at a friends house). I love these types of games, like Sly Cooper, and Ratchet and Clank. It doesn't really seem like they're being made too often anymore.

The only one I liked was the first one, the others were meh. Daxter was alright however.

I loved the Jak series. One of my first games that had a great story to it. The new one looks badass.

I like how the main antagonist in Jak 3 is [sp]a minor character from Jak II who comes back from the dead and goes completely fucking batshit insane.[/sp]

That game had such a fucking stupid ending. It was almost worse than those movies that end with "it was all a dream! :O". Great fucking idea. Then, give Daxter pants. And make the hot chick an otsel. And shoot fucking fireworks out of your nose, why not. They just fucking gave up at the end. Hell, I'd say they gave up for the whole last game.

It's not like the entire series was exactly devoid of humour. I laughed anyway. And are you kidding? The last game was huge. The cutscenes were better, the world was bigger, the enemies were more fun to fight. And if you thought Tess was hot you've got another thing coming. She's better off as an Ottsel.

You know why Monty Python's Holy Grail didn't suck when it just ended like that? Because it was never fucking serious. Ever. Er, yeah? How does that pertain to the plot? Avatar has a budget of 280 million dollars, so the production values are undoubtedly high, but that doesn't mean the story isn't about a fucking blue furry gardener in space.

She became an irritating bitch in Jak 3, you get back to Haven City and she's like "lol chek ut dis gun" and you're like "give" and she's like "not before you complete this bastard horrible gun course" And her voice is incredibly annoying. I still heartily disagree with you about the ending but that's purely a matter of difference of taste, so I'll leave that one alone.

Jak and Daxter fucking rocks, it reminds me of Ratchet and Clank. Plus it got even better when they added guns in the second one. And Jak looks like a complete badass in the third game.

I used to play this game, i played some of jak and dexter, however i didn't finished it. I've played and beaten jak 2, god damn that game is hard... i think i broke a controller off that game, then i've played jak 3, but don't remember if I have finished it or not... i don't think i did. That's all the games i used to play, and i don't got a psp to get those others. I loved the game and was so thanks for making the topic, this game series was a lost treasure of mine.. and i wish they made games. edit: Speaking of Ratchet and Clank, i also played that game, all the way till... they started making the psp games for it now. however, dispute Ratchet and Clank and it's storyline, i still prefer jak and dexter over them because the storyline and everything is more better.

Also when Jak II came out I was rather depressed when I saw what had become of all the exotic locations of the first. [sp]Misty island - Dark Eco mine Forbidden Jungle - Sacred Forest or some shit The Village - A horrible ruined hellhole.[/sp] For example. I also really loved how all the games had no loading screens apart from the first and how you could see all the locations in the distance. Like if you were standing on Misty Island you could see the Eco Silo where you have your final boss battle, the mountains, the temple in the forbidden jungle and everything.

One thing I love is the sound design, the sound when you channel blue eco is too cool.

When is Jak coming to PS3 anyway? It's weird that The Lost Frontier comes out for PS2 and not PS3.
