When I get news from Valve I don't take a screenshot of my inbox just to appease everyone, it's just there as fact.

Why would Valve tell a UK tabloid newspaper this info first hand and not a Linux site, like say Phronix? Except for the last line, the article is a copy/paste of Valve's press release. Why are they the only ones reporting this info? Most likely, they found the Phronix article and assumed it's a confirmation. In the end, there is still no word from Valve on the subject, so it's hardly official (see UT3).

We have one line from one UK tabloid, which doesn't provide a source whatsoever and the main company still denies any plans for a Linux client. Now, how is the Linux client announced or official at this point?
