No because he shits chocolate and pisses rainbows, you need to remember your facts.
Valve isn't a source? Hm.. ok then?
Where did Valve confirmed a Linux client then?
Yes, Valve may have contacted the UK telegraph (or vice-versa) but we don't know that. And Valve's official word is "There are no plans for a Linux client at this time".

... This is how emails work.
When I get news from Valve I don't take a screenshot of my inbox just to appease everyone, it's just there as fact.

Why would Valve e-mail some UK newspaper only?
Eager to hear more about the Linux version.

... really?
Because the UK site emailed Valve first asking about it?
Now I can support Valve on all OS's (the good ones anyway). Yay.

Why would the UK newspaper e-mail Valve about a Linux version? Why would Valve tell a UK tabloid newspaper this info first hand and not a Linux site, like say Phronix? Except for the last line, the article is a copy/paste of Valve's press release. Why are they the only ones reporting this info? Most likely, they found the Phronix article and assumed it's a confirmation.
In the end, there is still no word from Valve on the subject, so it's hardly official (see UT3).

Ok, I'm done with this line of conversation. The horse is starting to get a little raw from the beating.

What line of conversation?
We have one line from one UK tabloid, which doesn't provide a source whatsoever and the main company still denies any plans for a Linux client.
Now, how is the Linux client announced or official at this point?
Omg, When the Linux version comes out. I am getting rid of Windows 7 and hello Linux mint 8
All you mac users have fun on your 9400m GT cards. :hydrogen:
Valve has OFFICIALLY removed the argument "X Operating System can't play games".
Well, they'll be able to play Source games, along with indie games, and the games devs feel it worth to spend the time and money making it Mac compatible.

I will, and by the way my games run fine. and not all Macs have the 9400m.
I'll believe it when I see it from at least a few more sources.

Yeah but the ones with "uber gewd graffix" do. :downs:

So in the future, Macs will only play games made by people who know that being consumer friendly is cool and gets you sales?
Even though that's a good thing, it sounds about as pretentious as claiming to own nothing but Macs.
Im still laughing at the people who say Portal looks and runs better on a Mac.
