And you'll really need to know how to last hit with him, it takes practice to get used to his animation. As ali, try to do a lane with a friend or with someone cooperative. if the enemy pushes too far, EXPLOIT IT. Flash on top of them, Q and then W them into the turret. Once again, takes some practice. You get a lot of your gold out of assists. By the way, Alistar isn't as much of an offensive Rammus tank as he is defensive. You're a bodyguard. Got a really good player on your team everyone is trying to kill? Protect his ass. Spam heal to keep his HP topped off, and maybe headbutt people away from him. Headbutt is also hard to judge, as you can troll your team pretty hard with it.

I saw a Gangplank playing earlier who managed to build up Mercury Treads, an Infinity Edge, and two Phantom Dancers by the end of the game, which was around 20 minutes or so. I may have to give it a try sometime.
