I just played a very successful game with that guy who places turrets.
Man you just scatter your two turrets around and hit your R, then stun with the grenade, spam your W, and you cash in two or three kills, or at least their support.
And if that's not sufficient, I killed like 200 minions, while the rest of my team was on 60 average.
Man I think I found my new main.

He's pretty useful in the beginning of the game to farm. And late game you already have lots of items to buff you up.

He relies on the enemy team to be auto attacking champions that don't try to(or expect) his nades. Generally he'll be either nuked out first or will be ignored.

Swain's early game is horrible. No way dealing damage at all.
The only reason his late game is so good is because he takes advantage of the chaos caused in teamfights. W enemy team, E and Q someone, ult and just sit there. Even if you lose the teamfight, you'll have full hp and can just walk away.

yeah my first kill was a lucky one because sona was at low hp but she stood still at the tower(my team didnt want to towerdive with their eve in the same lane)
and vlad rushing deathcap was pretty sad

Also, every champion is a bitch if built right. I faced a couple of that useless mummy and thought he was truely useless. But then I saw one with something like 3/0/17...
