In a game with 50whatever items and 50whatever heroes there's some IMBALANCE, assholes like elementz finds them.

Tier lists are the reason the meta game doesn't change in the case of something like LoL. It puts people in a mindset, especially the average player (it was hard not to type "scrub" here) who just takes a peek at it every so often and has it influence his character choice. It's even more devastating in a game where you buy heroes and MUST play that hero because you have nothing else to pick. It's not like a fighting game (which is where tier lists came from) where there is absolute hard fact involved with numbers and charts that X character is better than Y. You can't tell me that Q is better than Yun in Street Fighter III because you're wrong, even if you had two evenly skilled players go at it (oh God this is a terrible example because you need to know what I'm talking about). In League of Legends (and DotA and any other spinoff) there are anomalies like team composition, gold buildup, how well someone does in the laning phase and, yes, personal skill. Tier lists in DotA and DotA-likes are stupid. Tier lists in DotA try to take into account team comp, if you read elementz list he/she explains that tier 1 heroes do their shit well. They cleanup creep/jungle/work well in a standard team scenario (Tank, Burst, Carry, Off Tank, Dps) LoL characters have stats and abilities which scale off items and levels and etc. EG. Pant's spear shot is 100% his physical damage, his heart-seeker strike is 5 attacks with 35% his phyiscal damage (both abilities have a constant related to the level of the skill) The tier lists also take into account how easy it is to be fed, how well a hero maneuvers the map and sets up ganks, and if you say that's bullshit how many times has heimer ganked someone compared to the times eve has ganked someone? Not every champ is equal

Also, tier lists are shit. Soraka is cheap as fuck and everyone buys her, tries her once, then goes like "lol so gay lame chap homo heal go suck dix" while actually she's a blessing to have around.

I just don't have room for the unicorn. What are you going to replace in a 5v5 team? Can't get rid of the tank (herp derp), or the carry, burst and dps are important too since if you don't have a good ap burst they'll get armor and be harder to kill, without AD dps they'll stack magic resist. So there's really only one slot, the off-tank. I realize this is pretty much pidgeon holed, lots of heroes fill different roles and you sort of have to jam your team together like a jig-saw puzzle that doesn't fit together. Assuming I didn't have options like sion, singed, vlad as off tank why wouldn't I want Soraka? I could have a champ that does similar things to her, but does other things. She has 1 cc that's sub-par. Am I laning with her? Or is it a 2v1 and I get free health pots/mana pots?

We play ranked 5v5 premade and I play soraka, I decide Soraka or Nidalee depending on what we are against and what my team wants, I roam around healing everyone and help in ganks the whole early game as soon as I get my boots. So yeah, I might play another champ and lane but I prefer helping my team trough the whole game and I really think 1 support per team is a must.

My new pantheon build: Boots Leviathan Youmuu's Ghostblade Warmog's Armour Atma's Impaler Warmog's Armour Sell Ghostblade > Black Cleaver/Infinity Edge/Bloodthirster Theorycrafting. I dunno, it works on Yi so why not pantheon :P

Other melee dps's are more "DPS" instead of burst, so a single stun won't negate their entire damage payload.

If he gets a stun and HSS you only have 1 guy that can deal damage to him, and he can block most of it If he's not fed and is a teamfight he melts

I just soloed a lane against poppy. I annoyed the fuck out of her since early lvls, and the fact that I can silence doesnt help her at all. Man, farming with a melee champion really sux.

How does this leave ban system work anyway Like If I get warned and don't leave for a week, leave again do I get banned? Or does the "leaves until ban" counter reset
