If you guys really started liking ranked solo Q. If you ever fall under 900, like me for example when in 7 of 10 my first ranked games i had a leaver in my team. That sucks, eh? Play Karthus. You will just pwn those fucking idiots. Then when your ELO has risen enough that you start seeing people actually using zhonyas or flash dodging, you might actually start playing other champs. Oh, and this is how I play karthus. I build him as a glass cannon (5AA + zhonya) I tell my team to follow me. I repeat it so many fucking times that they actually follow me. I rush in with my aura, spam my spells. DIE. ULT. SPAM. FUCKING PRAY TO GOD MY TEAM IS ABLE TO KILL EVERYONE RUNNING AROUND WITH 50HP. And that is how I win. :)

Of the ones that are free to play this week, I'd recommend Tristana or Master Yi. Tristana is a ranged DPS that has an ability which boosts her attack speed, one that makes her jump to a target location and damage/slow nearby enemies, one that makes enemies she kills deal AoE damage, and one that pushes an enemy away from her. Master Yi is a melee DPS who's abilities allow him to attack up to 4 grouped up enemies, heal for a bit of health, deal extra damage, and move a lot faster. I just played my first game and used Master Yi. We lost but I got quite a lot of minions and killed 2 or 3 of their champions. What sucked though was that two left our team or were afk. So we were 3 against 5 :v:

Yeah, that tends to happen a lot at lower levels or in custom games. Once you get to higher levels in normal, leavers aren't quite as common...although they're still a major pain in the ass. Also it seems to be hard for me to lose when playing Ezreal. I've only got 1 visible defeat as him on my Match History right now.

What's your IGN? I'll play a game with you if you want. I know my way around most of the champions and can explain DOTA and more specifically League of Legends to you.

Yes it is! Just be careful. Solo queuing leads to many unfortunate matches. You're going to want to play with some friends who know what they're doing before long.

How does a percentage scale down?

Each percentage you get from items only acts as half a percent past 40% (not really just using that as an example of what he means.)
