Malzahar buff, fuck yes. 4 casts instead of 5 for voidlings. I'm so excited to be even more useless now.
They're hardly nerfs; its a rework. Now he's not a complete beast early, but he scales better into lategame. Balance. It wasn't fun having Garen Judgement you for half your health with no items. [editline]14th December 2010[/editline] You don't have to relearn Garen. He does less early and more later it's not like they changed his ability set
There was a forum thread where someone did the math and he does less overall unless you have >400 AD
New code: L R L R D D U U 3 4
Well, according to 1/11/0 Singed and 0/12/3 Pantheon it's my fault we lost the game because I didn't call miss on a jungler!
No es u fault no pick mordekaizer
Gragas nerf wasn't huge Panth nerf was needed, get over it Malphite nerf, did they nerf him? He needed his Q adjusted early game but that's about it
Cass is 6300 btw guys
How the fuck...
So there seems to be a bug with Udyr's tiger stance making Madreds Razor (Including Wriggles Lantern) triple-proc in one attack, doing 1500 damage. Also apparently they increased the font size on the hud.
Yeah Dwragon, your mom told Shogun to keep an eye on you, so you have to listen to him. Only terrible thing I see for Garen is the SF Cape passive, but only the cool kids played him Crit Garen Best Garen, so we have nothing to worry about :smug:
Shut up i finished my test early and spanish is boring. Panth nerf is nothing but still fucking retarded. Olaf was uncalled for. Brb while I cry a river. But I totally agree with you on olaf. Where did that come from?

I played Urgot before I ever played with you right Andy?
I was expecting a massive Mundo nerf but this patch actually made him better by nerfing almost all of the other beefy DPS (Olaf, Morde, Malph). The only thing that really affects him is the Spirit Visage change
I played Urgot before I ever played with you right Andy?
I knew you before urgot came out
Does LeaverBuster penalize you for leaving practice/custom games? I haven't really seen anyone talk about them.
what does the code do?
It forces the client to read server status as online so riot devs could connect to the server while they set it to busy a riot dev wanted a friend on the forums to play so he posted it out lode [editline]14th December 2010[/editline]
riot is, in my opinion, a terrible company. Gragas was good, but in no way op. Panth has now been basically nerfed overall, and malphite was fine. Riot, balance your fucking game the right way. You're all a bunch of morons and the locket removal was unwarranted. It was never op, it was just a good strategy. Seriously, how do you want people to come up with creative new strategies if you nerf them to the ground 99% of the time. Gragas was fine panth was fine malphite was fine most of the champs that they nerf are fine. Sunfire capes were fine, get some mr you dumbfucks. It's called counter-building. I swear to god they'll nerf so many people nasus will be op and then they'll nerf the "most balanced champ" too. [editline]14th december 2010[/editline] oh twitch's ult looks like shit now
whaa riot actually listens to people that play the game they are a terrible company!
whaa riot actually listens to people that play the game they are a terrible company!
Listening to the community is fine, but giving in to QQ and constantly doing knee-jerk reactions isn't.
the leaverbuster is the best update in an, on first glance, overall seemingly terrible patch. but who knows, maybe it's excactly what the metagame needed. we'll see.
Does LeaverBuster penalize you for leaving practice/custom games? I haven't really seen anyone talk about them.
Custom games don't count towards your games played. So no.

Mind-blowing post from a LoL forum-goer.
To give a little background info, I am a 6 year DotA vet, who played Heroes of Newerth for 9 months, switched to LoL for 9 months, and am now going back to Heroes of Newerth. So don't say that I don't have experience with the genre or that I haven't give either game a fair chance, because unlike most dimwits that make these threads, I actually gave all 3 games plenty of opportunities to prove themselves. I worked under IceFrog on the DotA beta team, I volunteered for S2 as the balance moderator for their forums, and I've made several popular threads in the LoL forums, one of which was probably the driving force behind this new anti-leaver system with over 1,250 up votes, and Trydamere basically saying "Okay, we'll do something". (http://www.leagueoflegends.com/board...d.php?t=237455) When I first started playing LoL religiously about 9 months ago, I saw a game with massive potential that, while having its fair share of problems, could really amount to something over time. I chose to blatantly ignore the fact that, for example, there were no replays, observer mode, built-in voice chat, competent anti-leaver system or competitive scene to be found. I listened to Riot's incessant promises that all of these things were "coming", and that we all just needed "patience" for features that, by anybody's standards, should have been in the game to begin with. Well Riot, it's been almost a year, and you've finally added an actual leaver protection system that works (in theory, I'm still skeptical); congratulations on finally adding one of the many features that should have been there in the first place. I guess in another 4 years we'll have everything else? When I left Heroes of Newerth about a year ago, I left because there were a lot of problems with the game, and I didn't feel like the developers knew which direction they were taking it. With the ability (as a moderator) to speak to them directly via IRC, some of their decisions baffled me, and I decided that maybe LoL, with all its fancy ex-Blizzard and ex-DotA employees might have a better idea of where their game was going. It turns out I was right, but merely in a horrible, ironic way. Riot's game was going in the direction of profit over improvement, mass appeal over game depth. Let's look at the facts: Every 2 weeks since I've started playing LoL, like clockwork, there has been a new hero, and a ton of new skins. That means for every LoL game year, there will be 26 new heroes. I think since HoN came out of beta, they have added 6. HoN's financial system doesn't work by spamming the game with new content for all the impulsive buyers to froth over, it's much more mature than that. You pay $30 up front, and you get all the heroes for the rest of the game. In this way, they aren't forced to add content that is undeniably bad for the game in order to secure revenue. Riot's current financial system is self-defeating. It makes the game more accessible to players by being free, but at the same time is eternally cursed to produce new content that the game doesn't need, in order to pay for itself. How many of the new heroes have overshadowed and/or destroyed the use of the older heroes over time? How many heroes have roles that overlap, and/or are almost the same hero with slightly different abilities? How many heroes have come out recently that are just plain useless, or game-breakingly overpowered for several months? How many heroes have been underpowered or useless for far too long, but can not receive the proper attention because of all the excess content being produced? I could go on and on but you get the point. League of Legends will never be a competitive game, that is a pipe dream. Good developers know that to have any semblance of balance, extremely volatile content like a new hero must be gradually introduced into the game (and in the case of both HoN in DotA, banned from competitive play for at least several weeks), and then tweaked to fit in with the rest of the cast/content. In this way, you can actually create an environment in which all heroes are useful, and do not become obsolete or overlap in blatant or ridiculous ways. But the fundamental 'hero per 2 weeks' flaw is just the tip of the iceberg. Riot has even, since I started playing, given players the ability to buy additional power in the form of rune pages (as if being able to buy champions with money when some player actually have to work for them wasn't enough). They haven't been honest with us about the timeline of many of the features they promised that the "other" games have, and have had from the beginning. Worse, they have even hinted that some of these features may cost money, when they were originally promised to be free (http://www.leagueoflegends.com/board...d.php?t=231913). Maybe if Riot spent more time actually trying to improve their game, and less time trying to launder money out of their community, or at the very least, put improving the game as a higher priority than making $$$, this game could actually be heading in a meaningful direction. On a final note, this latest patch, v1.0.0.17, has been the greatest, most game-improving patch that Riot has EVER made, and yet the community rewards it with what will soon be 1000+ downvotes, simply because their favorite broken tactics have been ruined. I want the community to know that you are just as much at fault as Riot for turning the game into what it is today, and the absence of genuinely important features and depth that would have made it great.
