The Allies had Peru.
How do i load a saved game?
How do i load a saved game?
After clicking singleplayer, there should be a saved games tab at the top of the box full of scenarios. I've got a feeling this AAR isn't going to last very long. Because every nation in the world is heading for the Allies. Perhaps I'll try a communist USA after this.
I'm a real fan of your tactics :D (Yet you still haven't fought against a large army, could be very interesting).
Italy was a pretty big army when Peru and Spain were fighting them in France.
Have you joined the axis yet? If any of the alliances start a war, all the countries will be instantly pushed away due to threat. It's almost impossible to have anyone join your alliance if your starting wars, since the threat will instantly go higher than any possible influence you have.
Which country should Israel claim next? Turkey or Persia
Why not just fill up those little gray patches that tiny nations occupy? Also, Turkey next, make your claim in Europe.
Why not just fill up those little gray patches that tiny nations occupy? Also, Turkey next, make your claim in Europe.
Other than the one next to Israel (Jordan - joined the Allies), all the other grey patches belong to the British Empire. And I'm not going to rush into a war with them. I tried a test war with them to see what would happen. Annihilated doesn't even begin to describe what happened to Israel. Next update in a few minutes as well.
Perhaps I'll try a communist USA after this.
Oh hell no!
Chapter 3: To the edge of hell and back Persia was our next target. And our new marines have finished training, they'll defiantly come in handy. We deploy the new marines in Oman to save having to transport them there. Seeing as the transport boats are busy getting the 1st Infantry Division there. Eventually the boats arrive and 1st Infantry get off and the marines get on and make for the only Persian port. The Israeli Marine Corps land in the port and the boats go back for 1st Infantry who land further along the shore at another key location. The IMC and 1st Infantry are to meet up and advance towards a third key locaiton before they both assault the the capital, Tehran. The boats make a third trip and bring in our tank brigades, who steam past the foot soldiers. The 2nd armoured brigade made first contact south of Tehran and made light work of the Persian soldiers it came across. Persian forces are seen moving past us in the opposite direction, most probably trying to cut our supply lines, the IMC turn around to pursue them. Meanwhile the 1st Infantry and 2nd Armoured Brigade begin the assault on Tehran. Tehran falls to our forces and Persia is ours. With our new industries gained from all these Arabian countries we begin work on our navy, naming our ships appropriately overly patriotic names like Freedom! and Liberty! However it seems every Allies spy seems to be in Israel trying to disrupt our research efforts. The 1st Infantry and ICM relocate to a small Italian occupied island south of Turkey, our next target. The 1st and 2nd Armoured Brigades are dropped off in Egypt where insurgency is on the rise. We also grant independence for Oman and Yemen. Neither country has any industrial capability nor any known resources. Having them as puppet states gives us new allies as well. Or perhaps another target for the Allies that'll slow them down for us to prepare. Turkey will be our hardest foe yet. We have no idea how large their army is or how advanced they are. The only known Turkish troops are on the Turkish/Israel border (once Syrian) Operation Falchion will comprise of the IMC and 1st Infantry leaving Rodos after dusk and heading for the Turkish province of Manavgat, upon landing and taking out any resistance the IMC and 1st will march north towards Ankara which should take no more than a week. All infantry will meet-up and assault the capital, upon it's capture the 1st Infantry Division will head south east to capture a resource-filled province and keep back the Turkish troops from the border. The ICM will split into three divisions of two brigades and be assigned their own targets - a dock in Eregli, an airbase in Ducze and the city of Istanbul. Upon completetion of all this Turkey should hopefully. surrender. The beach landing goes without incident and the troops begin the march for Ankara. Turkish troops on the border advance into occupied Iraq and Persia. Our troops in Baghdad and a newly constructed carrier air group move to intercept them. Turkey turns out has a rather large army, more and more infantry divisions advance towards our land Luckily however they all seem to be on the border and we capture their capital unprotested. The final stage of Operation Falchion begins. However even more Turkish troops appear and cut off 1st Infantry before they can get to the designated province Two of the IMC divisions have captured their targets and are immediately called back to defend Ankara However yet even more Turkish troops show up and recapture their capital before the IMC gets there Operation Falchion falls apart as the Turkish troops surround our forces Eventually we manage to capture the city and the IMC moves in to refortify The carrier air group has been called in to help with air support, the 3rd IMC division is still miles from Istanbul and 1st Infantry is left stranded in the hills without supplies, unable to attack or move. The Turkish know this full-well and focus on our marines As the Turkish descent upon our forces and almost wipe them out the 3rd IMC division marches into Istanbul. And Turkey is forced to surrender, the Turk soldiers ordered to stand-down mere moments away from destroying the entire IDF and IMC Current situation:
Does any one know if there is a way to get rid of the HQ feature... it just seems like a pain trying to keep them close for supply purposes. My troops keep going in and out of supply right in the middle of battles. It also doesn't seem to matter where they are, close to cities, close to HQ, and they still go out of supply sometimes.
I agree with this fellow. You can attack Turkey from behind while conquering Peru, with your blitz tactic you will be back before noon to drink some tea in Tel Aviv. I'm a real fan of your tactics :D (Yet you still haven't fought against a large army, could be very interesting).
I just said it because I'm a furry and like fucking animals.
I just said it because I'm a furry and like fucking animals.
Yiff in hell furfag.
Lol another awesome AAR. Excellent maneuvering in Turkey.
Excellent management. I suppose the next step is just to slowly crawl your way towards the Axis so you can even consider the Allied nations that now almost surround you...
I've already joined the Axis as this point. I forgot to include the image showing it in chapter 3 :x
Yiff in hell furfag.
If I didn't say it, you would've never known.
If I didn't say it, you would've never known.
So why say it?
Hey, what was the process you went through to make Israel not a puppet state and not a member of the Allies? I want to do the same with Indochina.
If I didn't say it, you would've never known.
Of course we all think about raping animals ever second of our life....
Hey, what was the process you went through to make Israel not a puppet state and not a member of the Allies? Then reload the save and clicked on Israel rather than Britain.
However, I already have a save of all that done here. With Indochina included. Freedom for all The only two nations I can't do it for are North and South Korea, because there's hundreds of thousands of Japanese troops all over the Korean Peninsula. Which is a shame because I'd love to do an AAR of North Korea's take over of the world. Maybe somehow involving Kim-Jung Il going back in time to change the past. I've also made it so all the new countries are realigned (politically) to be in the middle of the Axis/Allies/Soviets. Before they'd instantly join the Allies upon the game starting. Other than those that should be aligning already to one of the sides (e.g India - Allies)
So basically with this we can play as almost any nation we want?
Yep. I've only tested it with Israel though, and they had either 0 / 1 of all the resources as well as 1 manpower. So you may have to cheat and give yourself some resources. Though, as I said I've only tried Israel others may be different. edit: I also wasn't lying about every nation joining the Allies. Not even the Comintern is getting any love. I also wonder. If I extend the game-end date into the 21st century. And first play as a tiny minor country that had no role in WW2 and put it on fastest setting and leave the game for a day. Will WW2 happen the way it's meant to? Because then I could wait for it to finished, save the game and reload as a new country and begin an ARR in the cold-war. The first time I played had cheats on while playing as Portugal and managed to apparently get weapons from the 60s. FALs and AKs v WW1 bolt-action rifles. Ended the Spanish civil-war pretty quick :smug:

Peru? no. :( edit: to be quite honest I'm not really enjoying this AAR. I'm going to try and get the Peru save to work again and get through the crash-y area.
C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron III\save games
k thanks [editline]02:31PM[/editline] I'm thinking I'm going to do a campaign as Indochine(Vietnam) and be communist and stuff.
This AAR is going to have to end prematurely as well. For some reason my game slowed to a crawl and it took a few minutes for a single day, on fastest setting, and then it'd jump forward days or even weeks at a time. So I've had to reinstall the game, and lose all my saves. All that happened after chapter 3 was WW2 started in Jan 1937, Israel conquered Greece and made them a puppet state then the game went horribly slow. It seemed to affect all saves and when starting new games. Now I've reinstalled it's gone. I'll gladly start another as another country. But I'll keep it in this thread, to avoid cluttering up the forum with yet more AAR threads.

Hey, i'm having a problem with transport planes. I have 4 of them in my airport, with some troops in the region, but i'm unable to load the troops onto the plane, it just says, there are no planes to load onto. anyone know why this might might be happening?

So it seems a bit odd for units other than paratroopers to even have the option to.
Multiplayer works, right? Then how about everyone who does these AARs plays together or against each other in one big multiplayer game? With like Crisis as Peru and KillerTV as Yugoslavia and so on.
