So I'm having trouble with a nether portal. I built a portal into the nether, then once there, I traveled some distance away and built a second portal in the nether. When I enter this portal, it takes me to the same location as the first portal, right next to my house. Shouldn't it be miles away from my house?
Is the earth equivalent of that portal in an invalid location or something, like inside a mountain or underwater? I don't really know everything about how they work but it was a pain in the ass to get all that obsidian and it appears to be for nothing.
While I wait for Profan to whitelist me, can anybody tell me what texture pack this is?

I might as well add that Doku's RPG pack has stopped updating, so gerudoku is the most updated, but I'm still not sure about it.

They are stupid. If I go in near my house and return through the same portal, I end up miles away.

Well, maybe one day if Notch implements a Dynamic Weather system, we might yet see snowfall again.

The "Minerals" mod makes the Nether actually a little more worthwhile. Although it is pretty annoying to make long, ugly bridges just to get to one darkwood tree.
I cant actually think of anything usefull for dispenser, sure it could fire out a pickaxe, but that would just be for the novelty of it, seeing as a chest would be better

Well, this adds a new Nether ore, Corundum. It is stronger then iron, but weaker then diamonds. It also has ice-ore or some shit like that, which allows you to actually mine ice rather then break it. Its pretty cool.

Not really, since when you go mining you need to collect a variety of resources into your inventory, and usually arrange them too.
I mean, you're going to want a stack of torches, several picks, a few shovels, a stack of dirt or cobble for general use, a bucket of water, maybe some empty buckets for lava.
Dispensers = useless.

Not useless, they have uses like firing arrows, just impractical
