Could anyone be so kind and tell me the problem with this, I was trying to connect to my own bukkit server.
When I use that one, it says "Could not find the main class. Program will exit."

Can someone explain the current SMP to me? I haven't touched minecraft in a while. Is SMP working finally as intended? Like same as singleplayer but with others. What is still bugged with it?

It's obviously an internal exception with java.io.UTFDataformatException, probably a malformed input around byte 10.
But who knows really

Reinstall your minecraft.jar if you didn't back it up
Internal exception: java.io.UTFDataformatException, malformed input around byte 10. or Internal exception: bad packet id: 55 etc then do this:
1. Remove your old Minecraft server folder, and make a new one.
2. Download the server program again from [url]http://www.minecraft.net/download.jsp[/url]
3. Extract the files to the new server folder, done! Your server is now updated!

SMP is kinda like single player. Still some bugs but when ever there is an update something breaks and we have to wait hours or even days for an admin mod to be update and or released. So right we rely to much on mods which can make or break smp.
I'm getting horrible framerate. ~ 1 frame per 3 seconds. Any fix? :saddowns:

1. Admins are always right. Listen to them.
2. No harassing players. This means don't camp them 24/7. You will be banned for this.
3. Anything can be stolen if it is not protected.
4. Anything can be destroyed out in the wasteland. Except by lava and water. Use of water or lava will to destory something will get you banned.
5. No building within 100 blocks of a guild town and the spawn
6. No stupid buildings. (Ex. Penises, Nerd poles, Pixel art) Try to keep it a medieval theme. Or to a guild theme.
7. Anything goes in the wasteland that does not conflict with the above rules. (The wasteland is anything besides the spawn and protected towns.)
8. By entering the server you are agreeing that you have read the rules and understand them. You also agree that you know that if you break one of these rules you might be banned.
[b]Guild Towns:[/b]
If you and a group of people want a guild town protected then ask an admin when they are online.
[b]Requirements for a town:[/b]
1. The guild leader must ask the admin for a town.
2. The guild must have at least 3 or more people in the guild.
3. Only one guild town per guild.
[b]Things to keep in mind:[/b]
TNT is allowed and can be used to destroy anything. So be on the look out for traps.
Chest can't be protected at all right now seeing as we don't have a working plugin for it.
This is a pure survival server. If you die don't cry and whine asking for your stuff back. Suck it up and play better.

This server is running bukkit and as of right now there is not cuboid protection for towns. If you have a town on my server then it is as risk of being raided.

Anyone else having issues with mobs in SMP? I've been noticing spiders getting stuck in the floor and hit detection being rather wonky.
Also, missing chunks.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned, but a while ago I noticed an unlimited item exploit which occurs in the Mac version. If you force quit after breaking some blocks, when you reload the blocks will not be broken but the items will still be in your inventory, allowing you to re-mine the blocks.
