My computer sometimes runs minecraft faster than it should. I can dig obsidian about the time it takes to dig sand with your hands. I tried to record a video, but fraps caused my computer to slow back down to normal speed.

Nerdy's server is great. It has a lot of PvP, and is plenty of fun. I don't get the point of the rage against it... everyone has different things that float their boat.

You're using a broken texture pack. Trees have different kinds of leaves now.

What's a good texture pack that isn't really dark, and still feels a lot like the Minecraft one?

I remember using Doku's for a while but are there any others? 16x16 or 32x32 is fine.

Coolity. TO stop the crashing on downloading terrain. Just go into the motd file and remove all the color codes that are at the end of the sentences.

With spiders being able to climb walls and all, we need horizontal fences, so that they can't climb up. Putting blocks around the top doesn't look all that great.

I actually have a save that's sort of like that. Has a few hilly/mountainous regions in it but also, surprisingly, a plain, which I discovered during my epic reed/cactus quest.
