It's completely dark so there's no light issue

Mobs have a few requirements to spawn.
1) They need light below a certain level.
2) They need a surface other than stairs, stone slabs or water/lava to spawn on.
3) They need to be further than 24 blocks from you but not too far away.
Ahh it might not be twenty four blocks away. A zombie did spawn in the sea and swim past me though

A few weeks ago, Myrrdin purchased a VPS that we hosted a Minecraft server on, but it lagged significantly, so we switched.
The new VPS worked perfectly for about a day, when suddenly the actuall VPS went down, we contacted the company and all we got was that they were "Working on it".
2 Weeks later, It finally works, but suffers the same fate of the first VPS (Atleast at the moment).
Though, it "Works".
I would really appreciate a tip where to rent a VPS, this is getting old.

was recording some gameplay and this happened
In response to the largest cave system ever found, mine was in Alpha, and underneath my failed attempt at a city. It failed because I kept dying after the mobs cave out of the sides of the cliffs next to the town. I investigated further inside the cave and never got out. It was insanely huge and kept my attention for a long time.

that happened to me, i was gonna bring the save to smp so my friend could help me, but i had mods installed :saddowns:

At one point, I thought I found it all, but after mining out some ore, I found another cavern linking me to another huge cave system. Too bad I deleted the save to add bropocolypse.

The rumour that dungeons appear more under pumpkin patches is true. I just made a new world and there was 22 pumpkins. Directly below is a Zombie Dungeon.
