MySQL's a bit of a twat. Finally got to the point where I can change a password on the dumb thing and now it says it can't connect to the socket. "Make sure mysqld is running..." It is. "and that the socket: 'var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' esists!" It does. It's properly pointed to in the config file, it's in the folder, but it appears to be a 0B file. :argh: Also, :toot:

I've apparently lost the ability to host a minecraft server on both of my laptops and both of my desktops, all of which have different operating systems and differing levels of administrative access. woo. :toot:
