Suddenly, Minecraft on peaceful become Amnesia: The Dark Descent, replacing Daniel with Steve and Castle Brennenburg with the nature. "Especially downstairs..." if you catch my drift.

It's a feature. They always spawned and de spawned right away, only you aren't suppose to see it.
