It counts like a mob. Just like every other living creature in minecraft. And it's friendly.

Reminds me of that "journal entry" I wrote for a Minecraft fiction. I think the working title was Minecraft: The Dark Descent, an allusion to Amnesia. The first entry basically detailed the first day (and night) of one Steven Phillips, who was stranded on a mysterious island.
If I have enough spare time, i'd write the second entry.
