I assume you can already do that with paint, unless you mean being able to further mix paints for more shades.
But stained glass with colored light filtering would be awesome.
So can you make green with yellow and blue and orange with red and yellow?
Also music blocks are pretty useless/gimmicky considering you can only hit one at a time and they're one block each so you can only have a limited number of blocks around you.

Yup. And if I'm not mistaken, red and green should make brown...
I ported the new textures over to the quandary texture pack. Looks good.

Once all the mods I'm using get updated for the newest version allowing me to play with the new stuff, I am going to encapsulate a squid while it is underwater, then make an incredibly elaborate path forcing it to follow said path which will then result in it ending up in a fish tank in my house.
I shall name it Squidward.

He has to rewrite the lighting engine anyway, to fix the darkness bugs. Ask him again now, I bet his answer'd be different.
Working underground always makes me wish for upward floating smoke blocks. That way you would have to manage your chimneys.
