Also, if you have the free time, there is a much more efficient way to dye wool.
Dye a sheep then hit it, getting 1-3 pieces of dyed wool instead of one!

Yes but people feel the need to spam pixel art everywhere. In my opinion, its crap. People take a long time and resources to build those stupid eyesores. I would rather see a multicomplex building with a 4 layer basement devoted to mob farming than see some sprite. Now thats creativity.
On a side note; Anyone know of a good auto-generator type mod or something? Ever since the biome patch, the world generator keeps spewing out ugly landscapes. I used to use the biome terrain mod but that is not functional at the moment.
