Mods broken, ridiculous framerate issues, and stupid-looking trees. I am less than thrilled.
The trees are stupid, but all the other stuff is awesome. I'm just waiting for painterly so I can change the stupid birch texture.
Does anybody have a list of how to get any colour? Like brown? [editline]14th January 2011[/editline] yes the birch texture is horrible, and looping a lot.

Bone Meal is great.
Bone Meal is great. [img_thumb]http://i51.tinypic.com/21l22wi.png[/img_thumb]
instant home go! [editline]14th January 2011[/editline] I believe I just found a slime. Or a really strange creeper.
I swear to god this new update made sheep rarer. I put out torches to attract the animals and when I went to check on them, about a million pigs and cows there but no sheep.
The floating torch bug is back, I can place a torch on the ceiling next to a wall, and it will float.
Bone Meal is great. [img_thumb]http://i51.tinypic.com/21l22wi.png[/img_thumb]
I know this is silly but.. How did you do this? And how did bone meal help?
So is hey0's updated :smith:
I know this is silly but.. How did you do this? And how did bone meal help?
Put saplings down next to the previous tree, cleared the vertical area as much as possible, then used the bone meal to instantly make the next tree. Beats waiting for trees to grow.
I know this is silly but.. How did you do this? And how did bone meal help?
right click a sprout with bone meal, tree instantly grows.
Put saplings down next to the previous tree, cleared the vertical area as much as possible, then used the bone meal to instantly make the next tree. Beats waiting for trees to grow.
In fact trees won't grow in that form without bonemeal. They need every square around them clear, to include being clear of other trees.
Shouldn't Green Dye + Red Dye = Brown Dye?
Has anyone else noticed that fishing rods stack now? They also return to full durability while stacked. I'm going to take advantage of this while I can; it's time to get some good old mob fishing in.
Shouldn't Green Dye + Red Dye = Brown Dye?
It should, but it isn't. :smith: Wait: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Coco_Beans :haw:
I've trapped myself in my fort throughout the night, dawn is breaking and as I open up the door C418 is playing and I remember why I love this game. And then a burning skeleton popped out.
I don't know about you guys, but I plan on using dyed wool to make a hanging banner in my Great Hall once I get the pillars finished. I'd post screenshots of the progress but good GRAVY Minecraft's default textures are just so... :vomit:
Am I the only one who hasn't played more than a few minutes since the update? Mods broken, ridiculous framerate issues, and stupid-looking trees. I am less than thrilled.
I get about half a second of slowdown when I'm walking far enough to generate new land, which is sort of silly. But apart from that it seems fine. I wonder when Notch will fix the side of grass blocks.
Am I the only one who hasn't played more than a few minutes since the update? Mods broken, ridiculous framerate issues, and stupid-looking trees. I am less than thrilled.
I seem to be doing fine. their is some lag but it seems okay. I do agree that the new trees look stupid. The dye, cake, water mobs, dispensers, and pretty much everything else is fine.
Apparantly you can dye the sheep as well, poor things.
I find the tree looking stupid complaint a bit silly. But then again, I've lived with birch trees my whole life. Guess a white tree would look strange to a lot of people. Anyways, first update to finally get me to play minecraft for hours again. Even the super mod pack only got about 40 minutes of play before I put it down. Now all multiplayer needs is hell and I'll never have to touch singleplayer again.

ALMOST.
Apparantly you can dye the sheep as well, poor things.
OH DEAR GOD YOU'RE RIGHT Have an informative.
Does betterlight work with the latest update?
I find the tree looking stupid complaint a bit silly. But then again, I've lived with birch trees my whole life. Guess a white tree would look strange to a lot of people.
I know what birch looks like and the skin is fairly similar, but it just looks weird somehow. Maybe its because the trees are so thick, but I think it would look ok if it was a bit darker.
Apparantly you can dye the sheep as well, poor things.
I found a black sheep
I found a black sheep
Don't be racist
