He has a point. Java isn't any slower because it's java, it uses low level OpenGL.

I made a server for friends with hamachi, and after i updated it it stopped working.
It gives several errors, one of them is Internal exception: java.io.ioException: bad packet id 35 and other one: Internal Exception: java.io.UTFdataFormatException: malformed input around byte 1

So what, the graphics engine isn't the only criteria, Java uses too much processing power, has automatic garbage collection AFAIK and has to be interpreted by the runtime environment.
Also I don't get why Minecraft needs to write to the disk so often, it's impossible to play from a USB drive. I can copy the files anyway but I don't get it.

Put the minecraft.exe in a folder. Then create a shortcut and put it on your desktop.
