I really hope that FFXIII will be nothing like XII. I heard it's combat system is similar to X-2's which was pretty fun.
Even if you thought X-2 was silly, it's combat was pretty rad.
Yeah, X-2's combat was pretty solid.
I just hope they give us a better story/characters than 12. It was damn uninteresting, and I couldn't have cared less if any of the characters in 12 died.
Yeah, Vaan was so annoying - his brother was pretty rad. I was almost happy the main character wasn't a faggot but then he died so I was sad :(
I also disliked XII's art style. Some parts were cool, landscapes, cities and the like. But the character design.
Character Default: 30 Zippers and Armor that is not practical in any way ever.
Well you can try Final Fantasy 1221 or just Final Fantasy 435.
Oh you're hilarious.
Nine. Ignore the fact I have Quina in my name when you read that.

I'm serious, they make too many of them. Seriously.

I thought I was the only one that liked FF9. :v:
7, 8, 10. Skip 9.
By the way, am I the only one that misses overworld maps?
IV is the best, you must play it.
VII is just "LIFESTREAMLIFESTREAMLIFESREAM OH DEAR I'M IN A COMA BITCH BITCH WHINE" stretched out onto three discs.
FF1 is my favorite due to it's simplicity and party customization. 2 and 3 are pretty good too.
FFXII was surprisingly good. Just don't latch yourself onto the (sucky) storyline and focus on the gameplay that involves no work on your part.
No FFXII is bad. You're incredibly wrong.
FF1 is good if you want a basic game (save the princess, then go fix the world, then kill an evil über-god).
Not really considered an uber-boss when all I did was have my maxed out Warrior, Thief, W. Mage, and B. Mage with their upgrades just keep on using enhancement spells on each other, as Chaos only did like 100 damage per hit to my guys.
Eventually I got bored so I had my Warrior(Knight) attack Chaos and BAM 30-hit combo each max damage.
Also on FF7, Big Guard + Regeneration (paired with all materia) = easy game.
Once you have those two and use them, everything becomes easy (the final boss was a joke with that, I never died against him and I was around level 50). Having a good weapon (heaven's cloud for example) helps a lot too.
honestly, go back to ff5, it's the most beautifull one, yea i know , not graphically. but it's the first one in the series that is playable for someone born in the 90s, and it's quite good aswell.
then go for 6, it's got a great soundtrack not to mention a 3D intro sequence. ON THE SNES!!!
apart from that, i don't know anything about this franchise.
if you start with 7 then give crisis core a go first, it makes a lot of sense and makes it rewarding to play
FF7 again after you've finished it.
I liked XII's combat system. In fact, it's probably the only Final Fantasy game that I enjoyed coming from the world of Western RPGs.
Also, Final Fantasy Tactics is a good choice if you enjoy games like Front Mission.
Yeah. It goes to show how horrible Final Fantasy XII's battle system is when people who hate the series like it.
Love the series and still think XII's battle system was the best one. Didn't really like the license board thingamajig.
I actually started with 9 and liked the the shit out of it.
Then came 7 and 8.
My Ranking is:
9 (due to being the first I played)
7 (for me it is the most immersive)
8 (Its on the last place because I still didn't beat it which is a shame)
In my opinion, and having played through in a very odd order. (4,7,6,1,9,8,10,10-2,12,2,5)
I would say myself start with 6. But that's just me. I'd also play through 7, 9, 4, and maybe 10. (I'd just play through to kill Seymour Omnis again, that music kicks ass)

9 was my favourite.
Agree'd.

Not played much of 7 or 8 so I can't really tell which order to play them in, defo don't skip 9 though, probably my second favourite game of all time. Just amazing. (I actually just finished it for the first time like 2 weeks ago haha)
