Levelling system? Like, you start off with a pistol. ten kills gets you level 2, and a revolver drops. 20 kills later, a submachine gun drops. 40 later, a machinegun. 80 later, a shotgun and so on.
Mostly likely not. My main idea about level progression is L4D style weapons spots, the closer to your objective the more powerful weapons you can find. [editline]14th December 2011[/editline] http://small-games.info/?go=game&c=4&i=9144 Russians are keeping up with me, haha!
My first modding attempt: But soon: Thanks for the help coolity :v: Now I need to texture it...
Are there any good modeling tutorials out there? I am also really excited about shotguns and rocket launchers. When will you add a health and ammo system?
This is sexy.

When will you add a health and ammo system?
Health system as soon as I figure out a clever system that doesn't use medkits or regeneration in any shape or form. Ammo system, most likely never. I just don't think that stopping for a couple of seconds will making killing tons of dudes more fun.
Well, this game keeps reminding me of doom, where you can basically speedrun every level and pick up a lot of ammo, health and power-ups. So I keep thinking of a ammo system like in doom where you somehow get a lot of bullets in your weapon and ammo is everywhere except you keep the system now where you can only have one or sometime even two weapon. Also, making power-ups and ammo drop from enemies could be an idea, it wouldn't make you have to get time to find more ammo and pause the fun. Still, it would be a bit tricky to find that specific drop rate where enough ammo will drop, but still not from every single zombie you kill.

Could you add some of those variables to the settings file or the console? I'd love to edit the bobbing and height of the player.

I've got some music contributions already and they sound absolutely amazing, I'm pretty certain that it's going to be in the next version.
This game looks fabulous !
I hope you never remove the ability to jump around on the zombies heads, it's incredibly fun to do.
I hope you never remove the ability to jump around on the zombies heads, it's incredibly fun to do.
I was actually planning on making the player jump a little higher so it's easier to do that.
It is pretty useful when you get crowded, but I guess you'd already be dead if that happened when the game has a health system.
It is pretty useful when you get crowded, but I guess you'd already be dead if that happened when the game has a health system.
Not necessary. I've got an interesting system on my mind. You have some sort of a coolness meter, every time you get hit or do something uncool (like standing still and picking your nose) it depletes and when it reaches 0 you die, but as long as you're doing cool stuff (aerial headshots, killing 25 enemies in one shot, not getting hit, etc) it will increase and you will get faster, stronger the higher your coolness meter is.
This actually looks fun.
I was actually planning on making the player jump a little higher so it's easier to do that.
You should give the player the ability to do an airstomp of some sort so you can crush enemies that you've jumped upon.
Like a goompa stomp?
The game looks fantastic, but the chunks of zombies just laying around look a bit odd without some blood or something on the floor I think
Probably not, that would be a bit difficult to do.
I came back. I got an idea: Change the code to, instead of just making the limb fall off, spawn a severed part and change the original limbs model into a stump model?
I came back. I got an idea: Change the code to, instead of just making the limb fall off, spawn a severed part and change the original limbs model into a stump model?
That doubles the amount of models needed to be created for a single enemy. Not worth it. [editline]16th December 2011[/editline] I can easily do all that if I remove the modding completely but I think that modding might be quite a feature.
Oh no, I think that very small detail of a stump arm is well worth the price of removing all modding.
Some sketches for future enemies. Some sketches for future weapons, the shotgun will come in the next update definitely. I thank Charlie Twitch for those neat sketches he's done for me.
Can I do the second one? :O And the shotgun if you want me to
Gore Gun, Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
Game is starting to remind me of XIII
I remember hearing something about custom skeletons earlier in this thread. Did you say you needed unity pro for that? And in that case, what default skeletons will be added?
Yes, I need Unity Pro for custom skeletons. I'll be adding skeletons and animations for all planned enemies and you'll be able to use any of those for modding.

Some places with sandbags in them, and you could move the sandbags to make a barricade bad suggestion.
