Holy shit this game is fun and addicting. Cut down the fun with 33%, its way too addicting.
This will get somewhere. Maybe this will end up on steam for $10 in the final product (unless you want it to be free.).

Honestly, looks like HD minecraft or minecraft with a different art style, and I actually like it. Looks good OP!

How hard is it to make a gun ?
How hard is it to make a gun ?
One minute of your life for damage and naming, as long as you want for the sprite.
It'd be awesome if you could throw around zombie limbs and temporarily stop zombies by throwing their own limbs at them
I like the look of it, though if your aim is to make a great game then you should really monetise it so you can do nothing but make games all day. if you are too busy with a job then the game will suffer and you will lose players
I like this, continue developing it, add co-op I will buy it for $10.
Looks great. Nice work so far man.
This looks very nice. I may even take a stab at modding it.
You should add grenades and grenade launchers. So when players get their hands on maps. Things like building can be blasted apart. Just imagine a horde chasing you and shooting down that door or blowing a hole through a wall.
I really don't like how the guns are completely 2D and pixelated, especially since the enemies look almost cell-shaded.. If the styles matched up this would look way better.

I'm thinking it's because I need to have my guns at a higher resolution, like my zombies, or do you have any other suggestions?
I don't think the weapons sit quite right on the screen. It's probably because they're so flat.
I don't think the weapons sit quite right on the screen. It's probably because they're so flat.
Probably because they're so flat. If you have another solution at how to keep weapons visuals modable without making them flat (and not the same way Minecraft does it), I'll gladly listen.
Do it like Ace of Spades? I think that looks pretty cool.
I'm going on a vacation today, somewhere special. I will continue working on monday, as usual. See you then. It looks like I'm going all Notch-style, doesn't it? Haha. I only do it once a year. [editline]11th November 2011[/editline]
Do it like Ace of Spades? I think that looks pretty cool.
The problem is that unlike AoS, my weapons have...well detail on them. I can't do it the same way AoS does.
Do you plan to add hands? Just wondering. I think you should buff up the quality of the guns. I think adding a little more resolution wouldn't hurt. I know you must get this a lot. But do you have any other plans graphically. I know you want to keep the look simple but a lot of people must instantly compare the art direction to Minecraft. Or do you plan to let the gameplay do the talking?
I think AoS style guns would be pretty awesome, plus it's still really easy to edit.
Saw you on B12! Good job! Your far better at keeping your project alive.. Ameripain is dying.

Looks sexy, I'll definitely try it out.
Probably. I was planning that. Not right now but I'd love to hear some specific suggestions.
You could add a light leveling system. For example if you add a sprint in your game give players points for killing a certain amount of zombies or completing certain goals which they can spend for more HP or a longer sprint. Just an idea.
Looks a lot like Black Shades. Except with zombie slaying. Color me intrigued.
Looks a lot like Black Shades. Except with zombie slaying. Color me intrigued.
Black Shades had zombies.
Black Shades had zombies.
Not until level 3, adn it's a bitch to get even there. I love that game. P.S. I'm planning to remake the zombie models to make them look a lot less like minecraft and a lot prettier.
Just wondering: Were you planning on adding objectives (like finding food/water/shelter/ammunition/medications/surviving/etc)?

Anyway, this game does look like it has a lot of potential, but at the moment it's not that great in my opinion.
