It's level 4 actually, and yes it is, because it has that godforsaken sniper level right before it. Anyway, this game does look like it has a lot of potential, but at the moment it's not that great in my opinion.
Offtopic:Lol, I just beat down everyone in slowmo. Ontopic: when is the next build released
I know it's not Minecraft, but you should have some type of building system. That way you could make a little base to defend. Maybe even make zombies damage the buildings?
Press X to spawn bawxezs an shit'
Pretty good. How do you die? there seems to be no health. I only had to quit when the mob of zombies trapped me and made movement impossible.
Will it be just zombies? Also, I'm not sure how I feel that the weapons are all pixely, but the enemies are very high-res. Any plans on changing that? Edit: Oh sweet Christ I am so late.
This game is going to be a very poplar game once its done( that is if it is done), very glad someone is making a game like this and is getting shit done. Once its done, idc how much it cost, ill buy it.
I like this, continue developing it, add co-op I will buy it for $10.
I don't have a choice now, do I? [editline]14th November 2011[/editline]
When is the next build released
New Build, Devlog and Video every weekend. [editline]14th November 2011[/editline]
Probably. I was planning that. Not right now but I'd love to hear some specific suggestions.
I just noticed that Facepunch shows everyone where I've been during this weekend by having a different country icon on that post.
I'm gonna start working on some a weapons pack, It's one of the few games I have the skills to mod
This week I'm going to work on Actor overhaul, new models and textures for zombies, better AI, a little cleaning up and I'll take a little stab at the co-op, if I manage to get 2 players in that test scene, I'll be really happy. If I'll have enough time, I'll also expands weapons a bit.
So the characters are made of rigidbodies attached together? Is the animation scripted by you? I should probably do something similar...
So the characters are made of rigidbodies attached together? Is the animation scripted by you? They're Kinematic while they're attached to the body but as soon as one of them dies, it detahces and becomes a proper rigidbody.

This is awesome, is there anything anyone could do to help you?
I don't much like the Minecraft style. Doesn't seem fitting.
I don't much like the Minecraft style. Doesn't seem fitting.
Lots of people didn't, that's why I'm completely overhauling the actor system right now. Now, an actor can consist of 10 types of body parts (head, body, upper and lower leg and arm parts) and then an infinite amount of attachments, such as armor for example, hurting attachments doesn't affect the actor directly but each separate attachment can be destroyed to get to the squishy parts. Each body part and attachment can have it's own model, so in theory you can make EXACTLY any kind of actor you want, Space Marine, Heavy from TF2, Cybermechbunny from planet Zog. If you can't make 3D models you can still you the ones I use for zombies and just retexture them into whatever you like. It's simple but powerful. [editline]17th November 2011[/editline]
This is awesome, is there anything anyone could do to help you?
Any kind of help would be appreciated, since I don't have too much time on my own, but there's a problem that I'm eventually (far in the future, if everything goes well) will try to sell this game so that if anyone decides to help me that person will have to give me the rights to the work he's done on my game so that I won't run into potential legal trouble later (I'm thinking very far ahead right now but still, better safe than sorry), either that or be very good and accept the possible revenue share, and in that case I'm thinking more of a partner than just a "helper", I don't think there's anyone who'd like to join me on this little abomination of a game. :)
It'd be awesome if you could throw around zombie limbs and temporarily stop zombies by throwing their own limbs at them
Would also be good adding disabilities when shooting limbs, like legs slows the zombies down, arms reduces their damage, head makes them blind/confuses/deals more damage to the zombie.
Would also be good adding disabilities when shooting limbs, like legs slows the zombies down, arms reduces their damage, head makes them blind/confuses/deals more damage to the zombie.
It's already in the game.
You could make it so that the gun is held like in doom.
You could make it so that the gun is held like in doom.
Guns are going to be 3D next week anyways so I'll leave them as they're right now.
Guns are going to be 3D next week anyways so I'll leave them as they're right now.
Great! Then you should make the position moddable if it isn't already. I'd prefer the gun in the middle.
Great! Then you should make the position moddable if it isn't already. I'd prefer the gun in the middle.
Would actually be a bit nice to have, for example for left-handed people.
Great! Then you should make the position moddable if it isn't already. I'd prefer the gun in the middle.
Not a problem, wouldn't take longer than 5 minutes to make that.
I love this. Placed in a spotlight in an otherwise crimson twilit world, given only a pistol, a machine gun and some useless blue toy gun, confronted by a horde of stylish undead minions of a greater master towering in the dark sky. I grabbed the machine gun and grinded down a few zombies, but then i realised that they would be useless without their leader, so i started picking on him. I figured out i needed something more powerful, so i grabbed this overpowered pistol and fired it at the torso of one of the zombies, i missed the torso, but its head was propelled several hundred meters away. So i started fighting the zombie master, first went an arm, then its head dumped to the floor, then one of its legs. This featureless giant abomination was not hindered by its losses, after several shots to the chest it finally exploded into the few bits and pieces there was left of the thing. I found the rifle more fit for fending off its now masterless minions, so i grabbed that instead, ascended the blown off zombie master head, as a pedestal of honour, and fought to the end. There was only six zombies left, two missed a head, one missed a leg and a head, one missed a leg and an arm, another had nothing but legs and torso left, then there was one creeping behind, fully intact and still fit for fight. The five other zombies died quick. I grabbed my pistol and ended it for it, first its left arm, then its right, then its legs, then at last, its head and torso worming after me, i blew off the head, who fell a pleasant 5 meters away. Fantastic.
I got amused by shooting off everyones head and arms or just shooting off their legs. This game sure has a lot of potential. Through, it requires a tutorial for modders and possibly re-spawning to make it more survival/horde mode-like, at least for the development version.
Or start a wiki and write the XML scripting functions and leave the modeling/pixel art tutorials to the community.
Sounds reasonable. I should get on with it on Sunday, when I'll be writing my weekly devlog and such. First of all I still have some bugs to fix, zombie models and textures to remake from scratch and some other stuff.
Hey, will the new weapon models use voxels or something simple? I might have seen that weapons were going t be 3d possibly.
Hey, will the new weapon models use voxels or something simple? Really wanting to know this for amazing science. Edit: As in voxels or actual models ala CoD, Halo, Any generic FPS...
